Where is the option to set our status to Invisible or Offline in-game?
I want to start by saying I am very grateful for the ability to play with friends regardless of their platform. The cross-platform update was one of the best things to happen to this game
BUT...
Sometimes I just want to play by myself or start a sesh with a couple of solo warm-up rounds without being put in the awkward position of asking people to leave or declining invites. I can set my status on my console to appear offline but as soon as I get on DbD, everyone that's also playing sees that I'm not only online but in a game or lobby. Why do people need to know all this stuff? I've read that on steam, if you appear offline it'll hide you in game as well. I don't know if that's true but I wish it worked that way on PlayStation.

you can literally use DbD to stalk people. If your account has played it once in the past 5 years, your friends can use DbD to harass you. Sometimes I just want to log in briefly but DbD doesn't respect the offline status.

Omg that's scary. I hadn't even thought of that, but it's true. I'm so sorry if that happened to you. I really hope the devs address this. It would be such a welcome quality of life change for the game and community. I also love the way you worded that, "respect offline mode".

I have tried that and wherever I get on, they end up in my lobby.

If they're harassing you, they're not your friends.
That's not possible. You must accept an invitation (or send one) for that to happen. Unless you mean you get into a random lobby that happens to have your friends. If so, that's because there are few players in your region.

I shouldn't have to explain myself every time I want to spend 20 minutes on a single player game just because of BHVR's coding. I appear offline specifically so I don't have to deal with incoming messages..

Yeah, it's weird they have an auto decline friend request option, but not an appear offline option.

An invisible mode would be nice. Sometimes I want to just solo queue or just play with my brother and no one else and as you say it's awkward declining invites/saying no. Especially when it's a recurring thing.

I play on PS4 and at least there if someone is your friend, they can join your lobby, if you are playing survivor without needing an invite. I didn't know it was possible, until me and a friend accepted an invitation to be friends with another player, but she was super annoying, so we started avoiding her. Well, when me and my friend played, if she was online, after the match we returned to the party lobby, finding her there waiting to play with us. We were confused, because neither of us had invited her. Then we found out that if we where playing, it shows that info and there is a button to join the lobby. This is not ingame, but on the menu that says that your friends are playing.
Using that you don't need an invite to join a lobby. If the person is already in a match, the appear faded on the lobby, so you have to wait for the match to end, but when the come back, you will be there, no invite needed.

That is true. That does happen often.
