New ways to defend yourself as a survivor? Thoughts?

Im only making this thread to discuss potential ideas to mix up the core gameplay. Currently, pallet looping is the most ideal way to stay alive and waste the killers time. I’m not against it, but what if they were to remove some pallets and add new features to the game where there’s lots of way to defend yourself? Maybe you need another teammate near to stun the killer or something? And yes I know flashlights exist... lol. I haven’t thought of any specific ideas that could be potentially implemented

Maybe they could add a separate game mode for this type of idea. I just think it’d mix up things and make survivor more interesting to play. In last year the nightmare, you’re pretty vulnerable without your teammates and you heavily rely on them. Granted, that’s a totally different game but it’s an idea. What do you guys think of potential ideas?

    The problem with adding more variety to defense mechanisms is that they introduce a lot of extra required work for little gain: basically a bunch more animations, logic, map generation guidelines, general code, interactions, etc. for something that would basically provide a somewhat similar effect to a pre-existing mechanic. While it would be neat to be able to do things like, say, use the crane in the junkyard to drop some debris and block a route for the killer... it would be absurdly impractical. The closest we can get realistically is stuff like in the Game how there is that one drop from an observation deck all the way to the bottom...

    I feel like the core game itself would have to change obviously too. Gens wouldn’t be the objective. Idk. I personally know a lot of people who lost interest very fast because they thought looping was boring.

    I've thought about and am working on solutions for this problem.

    You want something else than looping? Well, what about this gameplay-style?;

    These are some of the varying play-styles I can come up with that you can already do.
    1. Looping (Requires solo or more)
    2. Teamworking Gens. (Requires 4 man SWF; you all stay hidden and gather around 1 gen with leader. Wait for the killer to pass and you'll most likely finish your first gen before the killer has even found anyone) Run away with lightweight and repeat)
    3. Premonition Stealthbuilds. (As Shown in the video, but instead of 1 teammate doing it, all teammates are doing it)
    4. Item hunting

    It's all about escaping. Don't save your team where you don't need to!

    Tbh, i find it very difficult to come up with something actually good.
    Any idea you have, no matter how well thought out, will have dozens of holes in it still, and this community will LOVE pointing them out so don't worry about not knowing about the holes.

    You know that survivors shouldn't be defending themselves from the killers right? Cus that's the whole concept and the rule of the game. They should be running away from the killers lol. Just look how DS and Old Flash light broke the whole balance and DS is still an issue.
