Is Dead By Daylight available in China?
I'm not sure if anyone would know this and I can't find a straight answer online so I figured to ask here. I'm moving to China in a couple years and was wondering if DBD is available there? I love DBD and I'd hate to give it up just because of a move

I think so, considering Chinese is a supported language, although I'm not 100% sure. Steam China may not have the game and so you may have to purchase it off of a different Steam store

Not that I know of through legal means and the mods don't like me giving step by step guides to illegal things unfortunately :(

I don't think it's available in China... The government has a really strict hold of Steam.

Hmm some say its there some say it isn't due to violence however theres a chinese game similar to DBD called 灵魂筹码(Soul at stake) which is from what I hear decently popular in China and its quite violent.

AFAIK the Chinese version of the steam store is very limited, but there are definitely dbd players in China so I'd imagine something can be worked out

Are you over 18? because China has a law stipulating how many hours a day anyone under 18’s can play a video game for.

Yes. I use chinese social networks, and there are even chinese fog whisperers.

The fact that they play DbD is undeniable, but afaik all of them are VPNing through gov restrictions, same as in most other games.

There is an official dbd account that promotes the game / relay twitts in chinese. I dont think it would exist if the game was banned.

Yeah, that makes sense.
I googled a bit of stuff and only found info on streaming restrictions, and the fact that dbd mobile was initially not released on chinese market (not sure about its current state).
Nothing regarding DbD itself being banned, though.

Well there's only a few games available on the Chinese version of steam but you can still access other versions of steam there. They might try and make that harder at some point, Xi Jinping isn't much of a gamer
