New Chucky poster has me daydreaming about him being in DBD
I am so happy to see that they are going for the classic Chucky look for this.
what do you Chucky fans think? 😄

How is he going to carry you to a hook?
0 -
He has voodoo magic. He could posses survivors and let them hook themself or They can make him drag the survivors. And let the hooks lower. Or so many other things
If you have even an ounce of creativity that isn't a problem

Highly doubt Chucky would ever come to DBD, he's even smaller than Victor and how would he even work?
0 -
He drags the downed survivor behind him and yeets then onto the hook. He has powerful Voodoo magic to make him strong and the Entity would grant extra strength for this. Alternatively the hooks have a new animation where they are just half buried in the ground and get elevated by the Entity once a surv gets hooked by Chucky.
The devs are able to find a better and more creative solution as me though.

False he isn't that small
He's 3 foot and 1 inch that's almost a meter. He also has the strenght of a full grown man.
If anything Victor proves that chucky could wotk no problem

Gets me every time.

Just shrink down the hook
I'm kidding

He is my fav slasher, i have hope one day i will have him in DbD.
6 -
Wrong!
He is taller than Victor. He is between Victor and Hag. Old Blight pov would be perfect for him.
4 -
there's no way he is as tall as the blight's old pov

I think this is the only chapter that i would instantly buy, one of the biggest slashers we are missing!
4 -
Why not let him use his body, his orginal body and plant good guy dolls all around that are traps or inactive and you would have no idea

For killer player. But he can seem smaller to survivors. This will not be problem. Or he can have smaller pov but this can make him hard to play.

I mean that’s funny and all but those who have watched the films know that Chucky even as a doll has the same strength as that of an adult male.
There are many killers that had mechanics introduced because of how unique they were going to be. I’m sure they were also unsure of them, and yet here we are.
3 -
I also think it’s kind of funny how although it has been discussed a thousand times the same question still pops up on these Chucky posts.
An open mind is a good start, when it comes to thinking about “how would Chucky fit in”.

I have an idea for the hooking mechanic:
The hooks could be created from the same factory where Chucky was created, but for Chucky to carry out sacrifices, the hooks move downwards mechanically for Chucky to reach the survivor onto the hook, and then the hooks move back upwards so the unhooking animation isn't awkward.
2 -
Yes, exactly. So many times people talked about Chucky. Carrying survivor, hooking them are not problem. There is so many suggestions for this. Chucky will need different animations for this, that's all.
I hope one day we will have him. Chucky and Andy will be my new killer and survivor mains :)

There are all kinds of great ideas! Your idea sounds neat and very in line with Chucky’s theme.
I would even go as far as adding that they add some type of toy factory machine that would normally be used to create the dolls as inspiration for the hooks.

I just thought this perks for Andy and Chucky. Child's Play is seriously my dream license, i wanna see it so much.

I'm a huge fan of the movies, but never ever did Chucky display the strength of an adult male. Characters constantly picked him up like the doll he is and threw him across a room. Chucky's lethality came from people not realizing he was alive. 95% of his murders are him catching people off guard because they did not realize the doll was alive.

Yeah I was going to mention that the Entity would probably add something like this as a twist but I forgot.
0 -
How was he then able to fight Andy’s mom?
How was he able to push Andy’s babysitter out the window?
How was he able to almost strangle Detective Norris?
Even a human child couldn’t pull that off. There is obviously dark magic involved, but the idea is there that he is strong enough to fight as an adult if not stronger.

I don't wanna talk for the devs, but I do know originally that they said they aren't willing to make a whole new list of animations just for simple tasks. They like the skeletal structure already since it can easily be modified.
I imagine Chucky isn't that hard, but I think that's one of the reasons that held them back
0 -
Yeah, the statement was WAAAYYYY before Twins. So I imagined they changed their mind.
That's also why I said it could be one of the reasons why that held them back for so long
1 -
In the first one he wrestled andy's mom to the ground
In the second he beat someone to death with a ruler and was able to keep Phil suspended in the air without any effort for a couple if seconds
In the third he was able to strangle a grown man with a yoyo and later with a plastic bag.
Do you really think that could be done if he didn't have any strength at all?
Sounds like you are just trying to nay-say for the sake of nay saying
1 -
Fight Andy's mom? You mean the part where she struggled with him for 5 seconds then bites her arm before she throws him across the room? That's the strength of an adult man to you?
He didn't push the babysitter out the window. He whacked her in the face with a hammer and she stumbled backwards and fell out of the window. That doesn't take the strength of a man. Heck Norris even suspected Andy did it initially and he's a child.
Watch the Norris scene again. He was in the backseat of Norris' moving car holding a thick wire around his neck. Norris could only struggle one handed and had to keep his other hand on the steering wheel so the car wouldn't crash.

Entity makes killersmore powerful. So this will not be problem. Also if we are talking about reality, Ash would kill most of killers.
2 -
Y'all are forgetting, the Entity can modify the sizes of killers. Look at Nemesis. I wouldn't be surprised if it was able to increase the size of killers.
1 -
Andy's mom picked him up and threw him across the room after several seconds. You telling me that's grown man fighting?
He beat the teacher with a ruler after she had been stabbed in the chest with a bicycle pump and was literally bleeding to death. He used a big metal hook to hold Phil for a couple of seconds hanging off basement stairs.
Strangle a grown man.....you mean the old man Mr Sullivan who he made fall down by spilling marbles on the floor, then hitting him in the head with a golf club? Yeah what a physical challenge he was to strangle.
I never said Chucky did not have any strength at all. He just does not display the strength of an adult male as the OP claimed. The movies never showcase that. Chucky's lethality comes from the element of surprise. He catches people off guard because they don't know the doll is alive.
That's what makes him creepy and dangerous.

I know the Entity empowers killers, but with Chucky its really taking it very far having him physically carry struggling grown people. He's a doll.
Ash would be able to kill most of the killers if he had his weapons. But no boomstick or chainsaw for him here. So its easier to buy him getting whupped by the likes of Amanda or the uppity Legion teens. Most of the other killers are believable threats because they are monsters, or very big strong beings, or they are supernatural.

You never said he didn’t have any strength you just assumed that he wouldn’t be able to drag survivors even tho there is 0 evidence in the movies that he does not posses enough strength to do that.
Like if he wasn’t able to stand his own against adult humans would be one thing, but he does. We do not know the extent of his strength because it isn’t fully explained in the films, but you are acting like he is lightweight and has the strength of an actual doll.
As others pointed out the entity makes the killers stronger by default too. The possibilities are there, you just seem closed minded about the whole thing. Which is fine if you are. Not everyone will be a fan of him when/if he shows up.

There's zero evidence in the movies that he cannot read people's minds but that doesn't mean he can do that either. You can only go by what is shown not what you like to believe he can do. Chucky does not last long in physical altercations against adults because he is a doll. That's why most of his murders are done using the element of surprise on unsuspecting victims.
Contrast that to other movie killers such as Michael Myers whom the movies show very clearly he is a strong supernatural force of evil. He is shown multiple times to physically over power his victims and display massive shows of physical strength. We can buy Myers carrying survivors to hooks, or picking them up one handed to stab them with a mori or tombstone.
I'm not acting like he has the strength of a doll because dolls have no strength. He can attack them with weapons, jump on them etc, but Chucky is limited by the body he is in. He is still in a doll's body. That's why he can be thrown across the room by a woman who would not last two seconds in a struggle with the human Chucky. He does nothing physically that a child could not do, hence why the finger of blame was sometimes pointed at Andy for some of his murders e.g. Maggie and Phil.
If they found a way to make Chucky work in this game I would be all for it. He's one of my favorites. But I don't like suggestions such as making him bigger because then he is no longer a doll and it removes the whole identity of Chucky. The Voodoo magic one......what is that exactly? He chants some words and survivors levitate to a hook? That sounds comically silly. So does the image of survivors being dragged kicking and screaming across the floor by a doll.

He was only able to beat the teacher with a ruler after puncturing her chest with a bicycle pump
thank you for proving my point better then i could.
We are not saying he has superstrength. The avarage male isn't that strong. Just that he is a lot stronger then his height would suggest.

True story: When I was a teenager I worked at a store that sold Chucky dolls and I was putting them away one time and there was a "piece of glass" in the box and I ended up in the emergency room.
He needs to be in DBD. I want revenge.

body is one character too short

oh wow, that’s creepy, but I’m glad you were ok!
I’ve always wanted a Chucky doll so I would have definitely been a customer. 👀
I grew up in an extremely religious environment so I wasn’t allowed to even watch Chucky let alone have a Chucky doll. 😂
Needless to say I’m still looking for the perfect Chucky doll to join my small collection of horror figures/trinkets etc.

Oh man, that's a bummer. These were the "life size" Chucky dolls. People loved terrorizing their young children with them for some reason. Maybe Spencer's Gifts still sells them?

I am so excited for the Chucky series. October 12 can't come soon enough. 😍
If they really wanted to they could make Chucky work. Cote in a stream playing DBD with Checkpoint XP, Paulie Esther, and Samination had said Chucky's size would not be a problem if they wanted to add him - the reason Cote said Chucky was off the table was because he's "comedy horror." At this point though we have plenty of "comedy horror" in the game - Ash which Evil Dead became more comedy horror, Clown's costumes like Mr Puddles, Legion in giant bunny costumes, Blight that is more funny joke than scary with his ping ponging around the map between shooting up, add-ons on killers that are more funny/memes than serious, etc.
