Every console player got robbed of the anniversary event

Ya know I dont complain much when it comes to video games. Everyone is only human, right. This game was working just fine on console until the most fun event comes. The event where you can make the most progress and cover so much ground.

For those of whom who don't play on console or dont know the game in it's current state is 100% unplayable. You cant use exhaustion perks, you cant move around, you cant take a health state , you cant pick up a survivor, you cant have any inputs without the game completely freaking out and freezing. This is such bs. Missed my favorite event of the year because BHVR devs broke the game, again

Yeah. really devs, expand the event to chapter 21, please?

Yeah, they've been talking about console optimization for years. Just another item on the list of things they've spoken about but never happened. Evidently they just figured they'd wait it out until the new console generations came out to fix their own problems for them. Yeah, like I'm waiting for a 3080 to fix mine and still can't get one, it ain't happening chief.

This. I tried playing on console because I wanted to get the crowns for my survivors and it's absolutely awful. I just quit after the first game and I went back to PC.

Just so you know this only affects current gen consoles. Next gen are fine

I play on Switch and while I can't speak for other Switch users, I am able to play the game perfectly fine.

its so ridiculous that I tried just chasing a survivor holding forward the whole time and being completely unable to catch them. You lag so much that you literally move at survivor walking speed as killer 50%of the time. I dont know how to upload clips here but I have literally dozens of clips of me walking slower than survivor for extended periods of time. How the ######### did behavior manage to break walking forward

If anyone knows how to upload xbox clips here please let me know, Id love to prove the idiots who say this isnt happening wrong.

I never understood why people play multiplayer games on console because of having to pay for online

realistically there should be more PC players because of that

I wouldnt say every. I've been playing just fine on my ps5. Lots of ppl playing on last gen have no problems either. Honestly, it's time to move to the next gen

Lmao, more people are saying current-gen has huge issues,

Go ahead and try to get a PS5 or Series X.

I'd say 85% of people are on current-gen still.

Besides, DBD should run fine on those Consoles.

I have enough stress in my life right now. If a game is just going to make me frustrated because it isn't working, then I'm just going to play something else. Very disappointed in a chapter and event I was really looking forward to.

I'm not sure what problems people are having 9n console but I been playing the event on PS5 and have had 0 issues.

The event and the R.E. chapter release was spoiled by the lag issue.

this is what I feared for before the RE chapter came out was that the game was gonna be running so much worse and I was right. At this point I'm trying to hold my breath that most of these bugs will be fixed once mid chapter goes live.

I play on console. In fact I play on Xbox One S. There was definitely lag and it could screw you over, but it was tolerable. I got all my crowns and I had an enjoyable time. I don't know if it was worst for others on Xbox One, but at the very least, at this point, the whole of the gaming industry is moving on from last generation and is going to be focused on the current generation. Once more consoles are made and vultures stop snapping them up as quickly, I'm getting an Xbox Series X. The Devs have done all they can with the time they have. Yes, they get weekends off, which isn't industry standard, but that is their company choice.

    Tl;dr Sorry, but grow up.

Lmao, current gen systems are perfectly capable of handling DBD. The issue is that the Devs appear to be unwilling or unable to fix the underlying issue.

When Battlefront II, Battlefield V, Warzone and Red Dead 2 all run better than your game and LOOK LIGHTYEARS better, there's an issue.

I can, of course, post videos demonstrating this. Likewise, if you think I'm editing them or being deceitful, I can stream both games live from my One X.

    actually you're paying more.

A decent PC is all you need to play DBD which could cost 600-800 dollars (also the same price as a PS5)

but say you buy a ps4 for 400 in 5 years you'll spend an additional 300 dollars to play online.

Also controllers and other ######### get expensive.

there is other factors than just "looking good"

for example my PC doesn't screen tear whenever someone hits me with sloppy butcher

It's too bad we can do nothing about it.

They've already patted themselves on the back after extending the event for everyone but those people who can't play the event.

    Good job BHVR!

I agree with people that said the event should have been paused and resumed after the issues were fixed. A lot of people stopped playing on console because of the problems that are happening, so they are missing out and only fixing the problem after the event is over is a big mistake.

And didn't the shards and extra BP go to everyone, not just the console players who are affected? Like, damn, PC players made out like bandits at our expense.
