Chucky could come to Dead by Daylight?
Well, after realizing certain aspects, one could come to the conclusion that a small killer could be well received here, but still some do not understand how it could work both in the third person of the survivor and in the first person of the killer.
I know it can be difficult and unimaginable to see a small killer in Dead by Daylight, but shouldn't it be unimaginable to see a giant like Nemesis? People do not really understand the term of creativity well and Behavior can possess it and even more, with the character of Victor and hopefully in the near future ... Chucky, the diabolical doll.
I really want to ask you, do you think it is possible to see it here? I know that in Cote's words he said that it is more comedy than horror, but isn't it Comedy to see Ash Williams here and a clown dressed as Chicken and Elephant?
For my part I think it is possible to have it here and maybe it will be the last chapter of the year, remember that the Chucky series will premiere in October and there it falls in the middle of Mid-Chapter 21.5 and chapter 22, It would be the perfect opportunity for Behavior and once before I lose it. We have been in Dead by Daylight for months with Victor and he was perhaps the basis or the demonstration to implement Chucky?
Well, now you might think that Candyman is not the next chapter but an original Vampires chapter but this time could it make sense to see Chucky in Dead by Daylight? The community is very creative, it can spawn dolls and teleport its soul, it can have a stealth onslaught, voodoo magic, among many good ideas. If Nemesis could, could Chucky?
I really imagine this photo having a knife and a devilish laugh like Chucky does. But do you think Chucky is capable of coming here once and for all? Trapper is a copy of Jason, Hillbilly is one of Leatherface, it would make sense for Victor to be a copy of Chucky.

I think Chucky would be too complicated to put into this game. Not only because he's short, but there would be so many things that wouldn't work. And I'm not sure if killer mains would like to have such a short POV because they did complain about Blight. And facing a killer that you barely can see isn't really fun for survivors either.
And I also think some actions, like carrying, wouldn't work at all. Chicky can't really carry you because of how short he is, and he can't drag you after him. Because that doesn't seem right IMO. And hooking would be difficult as well. He can't really like, grab ya feet and throw you up on the hook.
And another reason why his length is a problem is that it would be hard for Chucky to see and it would be hard to see him. Making looping really difficult for both sides.
I do like the idea of Chucky being in DBD tho :)

I think Chucky is one of the classic slasher killers that deserve a spot in DbD. The devs can create a fitting power to make him work I am sure of that. And while his films had some comedic traits they are still considered horror films. Also the possessed doll is just a horror trope that’s not been implemented in DbD, Chucky is the best fit for it IMO
i don’t see him being added next chapter or even this year though. I am still on Team Candyman.

I would love it, but if the developers themselves aren't confident they can pull it off, the point is kind of moot.

It's definitely possible, with his powers and stuff.
He's one of the most popular slashers, most wanted killers, and has the potential of being a really unique killer.

Do we need a doll killer that cannot put other hooks? The answer is no, that’s the basic concept of dbd which he won’t be in dbd.

If they give him a pet crow that lets him see 5 ft above his actual height? Maybe.

Maybe Victor was a test to see how well a killer of short height would work.

Just like how the game spawns fountains for Plague, Lock Boxes for Pig and chests for Nemesis, it could spawn short hooks that rise after Chucky hooks someone. Or they can replace hooks with nooses. Not that hard to come up with.

The only way Chucky could work is as a Twins legendary skin. The Devs had to shrink down Nemesis quite a bit so he could actually function, so they'll either need to massively grow Chucky so he can do crap like vault windows, hook survivors and break pallets, or as a double killer identical to Twins so may as well but out the middle man and make it a legendary reskin.

And how is Chucky supposed to get survivors to these hooks? How are Saves going to work?

You'll have to crouch and use your flashlight 😂

Chucky could have a custom animation that depicts him dragging the survivor. Once put on the hook, the hook would rise to normal height and saves will be the same as they are now.
The question is, are the Devs willing to put in the effort for this, can the spaghetti code handle this, and would it be worth it for them?

So, even ignoring the absolute ridiculousness of a tiny little doll dragging soemkne around at the speed of a regular killer... Saves wouldn't work. That's kind of the sticking point. What, Chucky gets blinded and suddenly the survivor pops up and runs? A pallet crushes the survivor, somehow stunning Chucky, and the survivor gets up and leaves?
Killers have to share the same basic functions. That's what DbD is built around. That's why Chucky, or any tiny killer, won't work as a solo killer. The physically can't share the basic functionality of killers without looking genuinely moronic. And the only way to add a moronic killer is to lean in to the stupidity in full tongue-in-cheek mode... But then you can't get the lisence.

I want a chucky that can only slug people, maybe he ties you up as a hook state and people can't see your aura, something fresh and new would be fun for such a small killer.

It's no more ridiculous than a child bursting out of his sisters torso and projectile launching itself at survivors. Chucky would have enhanced strength from the Entity, so he'd be able to easily grasp one by their throat and drag them to a hook.Rather than changing the hooks, he can have a new animation where he uses a voodoo blade to stab the survivor when he gets them to a hook and teleport them onto it. Blinding him will cause him to lose his grip, while shielding himself from the light, pallet saves will be the same, survivors are under the pallet as much as the killers are and nothing happens to them when they get saved by one.
The functions would be the same, just new animations and perhaps, new polygons.

nah not happening chef

His hooking ability would need some thought.

Chucky would be really cool, I just don’t know how they would get him to work. Victor has Charlotte to do the picking up and hooking for him. Plus you also have to worry and think about loops, vaulting, pallet slamming, breaking pallets, kicking gens etc. If they somehow figure it out id be all for him being in the game.

id rather trickster 2 than chucky. dolls can burn

Chucky and Jason, last iconic slashers. I will happy when they come to game.

Anyone who says Chucky can't work in dbd has a severe lack of creativity.
He isn't that short. About the same as the hag i would say.
He could drag survivors, hooks could lower when he hooks them
Hell he has voodoo powers and in the latest films he posseses people. He could posses survivors and piggyback them. To where he would lose his terror radius. Now he can either make them hook themself or ambush other characters.
There solved the hook issue and gave him part of a power in under one minute of thinking. And i'm nowhere near as creative as some of the people at BHVR are.

There's no way he is as tall as hag

Honestly I wish we never got the Twins and instead got Chucky & human Tiffany in their place.
I still have hope though that a Chucky chapter is in the works.

Checked a height chart vid. You are right. I thought hag was really short cause she's slouched over all the time but even then she's taller then i remember.
Old blights pov would match what chucky would have though and if he doesn't have a power that asks him to constantly look away from survivors to then quickly relocate them that would work just fine

In fact the povs of high killers in the first person such as Trapper, Wraith, Myers etc, are badly positioned, at the same time also in medium killers, really in Victor you can notice a high camera pov that reaches almost to the abdomen of a survivor in the first person but in the third person it reaches his knee.

If you think this is the only reason he deserves the spot than that's pretty sad.
I will forever defend different genres of horror and a deranged k-pop star is one of those. Not everything needs to be grotesque, ugly and monsterous. And if you watch plenty of horror and thriller movies you're gonna see that normal looking people can be just as big of a monsters. Heck, actually look at real life documentaries about killers ...
Chucky deserves a spot because he's one of the cult horror icons, not because "horror aspect of the game is long lost".

You should still give me credit for the photos I took of Old Blight pov and Victor lol, Copyright.

It would be absurd to expect Chucky, even though they spent nemesis that way.
