Is Trickster still bad?
I bought his new sexy costume and I want to play with him but I want to know that you're not in bad enough shape to drive me crazy.

His lacerations are reduced to 6 knives before injuring a survivor.
He now throws knives faster, and you can keep Main Event for 30 seconds.
Main Event also now shoots knives at an insane rate.

I just play him as a basic M1 killer because I suck with his power. Do I get low kill rates? Yes, but I try to make the most of it and enjoy the money I spent on him

I havent looked at the PTB, does he have an addon to reduce it from 6 to 4?

At first I was like, why? And then I saw the sunk cost. I know that feel. I hope this buff goes through so playing him like Kpop Gambit pays off a bit better.

Behaviour are interesting. Most other companies make new dlc characters broken on launch to make people want to buy them and play them before nerf.
BHVR make a killer bad on release, and way more powerful once everyone has them.

Right now he is one the weakest killer. But after he gets his buff he will be at least an A tier. And he will surely become one of the most hated killer in the game, maybe even as hated a spirit.

Same. I bought him speculating that they would make him move at normal speed or something after launch, and then that didn't happen, and I was like, "Oh, I'm a tortoise throwing knives at the wall... okay." That's on me, but I did waste money, so I try to hit people with the bat at least.

He must be getting better. I went from not seeing him at all for weeks to playing against him at least once a night.

Anyone who says trickster is a joke will probably stop saying that when his patch gets released right now theres are a few very very good trickster players and almost all of them know how to use ricochets properly

He is bad in the 1V4 but he's pretty strong in the chase. It's just there's several factors that make him weaker overall. I think lowering knives needed is an awful idea tbh. We'vec already seen in the PTB that he has practically no counterplay now outside "just don't get found lol".
I said this before but his design is fundamentally flawed.
You cannot make a killer who's gimmick is "throws lots of knives and maybe some of them will hit and it'll look cool" when players who are good at the game WILL make them all hit. He's a glass cannon, just buffing his numbers will make him stupidly strong in the 1v1, but keep him just as mediocre in the 1v4 (cough* Deathslinger, Pyramid, Nemesis). They're balancing killers around the idea that the killer players are bad at the killer.

Right now he's easily a viable killer. Far from terrible. People who think he's bad are overreacting because his skill has a relatively high skill floor while the ceiling isnt that far from the floor. The PTB is massively lowering the skill floor instead of raising the skill ceiling. Making him much easier to play as, but also much harder to counterplay against. Making him quite a boring killer to face.

On the live version, he is bad. He's not the absolute worst killer in the game by any means. Think a cross between Huntress and Deathslinger but his DPS is comically low making his power only truly good in short filler loops. Once PTB goes live, he'll become closer to Huntress in playstyle.
Queue all the complaints citing content creators saying he's unfair in circumstances that Huntress also dominates in, but Huntress's design is totally fine aside from hitboxes. It's not that the community started hating long-established killer designs just because Deathslinger and pre-nerf Pyramid Head traumatized them.

I feel like trickster is a special case. I'd say that with Huntress's hitboxes and deathslinger's quick ads means that you can just hold your aim still and wait till they cross, then fire.
Trickster's need for consecutive hits and recoil make that a bit harder than the other two ranged killers and may even end up just wasting more time than just whacking them over the head to begin with.
but I've been surprised before, so wouldn't doubt there is at least 1 person that has god like tracking on controller.
