This is ridiculous at this point...

How do I stay alive on my 2nd hook if it lags every time the bar comes up?? What am I supposed to do?? I have played killer for 3 weeks cause of this, do I just have to stay off the hook from now on, is that my only option?? Please, anyone got any tips on how to hit the skill check on the 2nd hook?? Any markers on how to anticipate it maybe? I hate that my fave game can no longer be played on console...oh well.
