SOLO QUEUING AT RED RANKS

Ranking up at red ranks without SWF has become nearly impossible. I'm a pretty decent player but lately it feels like reaching rank 1 solo is impossible. My teammates either die instantly, dc or gen rush so fast to the point where there is no chance in hell that I get enough objective points if I'm on a hook or getting chased and the Killers are always playing dirty; slugging, camping etc and look as if they're playing for their mother's life. I get that balancing between killers facing 4 randoms and killers facing annoying 4 mans may be impossible but nowadays it pretty much became mandatory to have a good team of 4 ppl with crutch perks and mics if you want to have good balanced games and rank up. Killers literally force you to play with a team but then complain about SWFs even when they're not toxic. I would play more SWF if my friends were more into the game and played it more but it is how it is. I would like to get more opinions on this if anyone read through it..

I fluctuate between red and purple ranks for these reasons, although I'm not sure if ranks have to do with really anything since they don't seem to mean much. I play solo -- used to have a SWF before uh, drama ensued. I feel naked without Kindred or at least Bond equipped because the lack of information is really detrimental in Solo Q; I admire people who play without them tbh because in solo that seems pretty ballsy.

Iron Will is also always in my kit since killers have so many ways to detect survivors and I don't like Lucky Break's timer. I don't use DS on principle but honestly sometimes I do use Unbreakable because... sometimes you need it, and for some reason your teammates think it's more important to self care than to pick up your downed comrade.

I can half agree on this. Sometimes you get lucky with your teammates and sometimes you get unlucky, because they suicide or DC on the first down.

Same goes for the killers. Some try to play nice by hooking everyone once before going for the second hook. But I understand when they ignore those self imposed rules. Because survivors complain after the match and accuse the killer of things he didn't do.

Which is just sad and I don't know what those survivors attempt to achieve. Making the killer feel bad for tunneling, when he didn't tunnel? This only leads to killers that play exactly how the community hates it. Since they get the salt anyway.

Unless you are trying to get Rank 1 achievement, I wouldn't worry about it. Red rank is super sweaty and, you are going to have a miserable time if you don't have a reliable team.

They should make ranking up much harder. Its insane that 50% of player base is in red ranks that should be considered the best lol.

Then you have teammates with 200 hours who have no idea how to loop half of the tiles in the game and got to reds just by doing gens and altrusim

Eh I somewhat disagree. I get rank 1 survivor every reset pretty quickly in solo and then I stay at rank 1 90% of the time. As long as you do okay in your games (get 1 save/heal, run the killer around for like a minute, and get some gen progress) you won't de-pip.

I'd like the difficulty to be harder, to be honest. The biggest thing I would change though is to cap out how high you can get when in SWF.

Dang? 50% of players are red rank? I guess it would explain why I go against so many... Lol.

Thats just my guess based on how many people who have no clue what they doing are in red ranks. Would be nice to see official stats.

Honestly it should be hard to get there so we have more purple/green rank players but it is how it is.

8k veterans rank 1 players are playing with 300 hour players with the same rank lol

Wait why do you want to rank up in red ranks, unless you're trying to get the achievement for getting rank 1?

No bro I've been to rank 1 many times and back in the day I wasn't even as good of a survivor. I am at rank 3-4 currently but it just feels impossible to rank up in red ranks nowadays. Unless u play swf ofc..

I don't think solo queue is that underpowered. It's more of an issue that too many players make it to red ranks when they have no business being there. The emblem system can't account for positioning and decision-making, yet those are the things that get teams killed.

Farmblems at their prime. It doesn't matter how are you doing, unless you're farming them, you lose no matter the outcome, ecape or death.

I'm rank 1 solo all day every day for 4+years, it's very easy providing you know how to play as a red rank
