Is that another one of those surveys that take 20+ minutes to answer and apparently never results in anything because the next chapter will have the same problems if not worse?

To be fair, you cannot really expect the Survey to have any impact on the next Chapter. Chapters are planned long in advance (I think a year?), so your answers from the Survey will probably not be reflected in the design for at least 6 months.

Eh yeah, can you imagine the storm they would get if they left it out.
Surveys are for feedback and expected negative feedback is part of it.
