Dead hard console
dead hard on console hasn't worked for two days! I go in one direction, I press the button, and my character changes direction sending me most of the time against the killer!

I alternate them, I don't always use the same build! i don't mind elodie's perk either, which gives you the sprint when you stun the killer

Dead hard isnt a particularly smart perk anyways; you have to be injured to use it and most killers at red ranks avoid falling for it by using standard attacks instead of lunges.

The thing about it is that it can be used for more than just dodging, such has making distance toward a window/pallet that you would have otherwise not reached in time.
Theres also uses ive seen on people that sabo hooks, using DH to dodge the second hit if they got hit during the first attempt, which allows them to get away after breaking the hook in the second attempt.
Could also be used on a risky save if you have BT, you give BT to the guy and you can DH and have him take the hit for you, or luckily have the killer miss both.

High risk & low reward makes for a pair of slugs at the hook ;) most other exhaust perks provide far more service and value and require less conditions, too

sprint burst is a very good advantage, but I don't always want to walk around the map so as not to waste it! ;)

You mean you have to use your brain at a loop and try not to make mistakes/be outplayed instead of just being mindless and relying on your free health state?
