Regression perks or chase perks?
Played a match tonight with Pyramid Head, and I ran STBFL, Corrupt Intervention, and POP. I only ended up using pop once because I was getting so much value from STBFL. This made me highly consider chase perks that coincide well with STBFL. I'm thinking maybe Endearing instead of POP.
Do you prefer the chase, or slow down perks?

PH is SSS-tier in chases, so no need to pick more. His power makes loops nonexistent.

I do love anti-loop killers, and PH is definitely good at that. But in general, do you prefer chase or regression perks? I got to admit, walking away from a chase to kick a generator definitely feels wrong. I know that perks like Surge help with that, but the regression penalty is far less than POP.

STBFL is the pretty much the best chase perk, and on good chase killers you dont really need more than that. Slow-down/regression perks are generally the best, so if you want the meta run them.
But honestly just have fun and play with perks you want. This game gets way to stale running the meta all the time.

It's not that crazy. Why isn't this understand gem played in tournaments then?

Just spam regression perks because the devs have made it to where not only do you need them just to play the game normally, but they're also better than chase perks most of the time.
3 -
Gen regression is just way easier to run. I feel like most chase perks are weak. I would use them if they release more consistent ones.

Depends on the killer, less chase focused killers will likely need more slowdown while the chase oriented killers will likely get enough value out of quick chases to apply more pressure that way. Personally however I prefer chase perks overall.

Just become a bot like most killers I see daily and run ruin undying tinkerer without worrying about chase perks.
But PH is actually great at 1v1 so he doesn't really need chase perks like stbfl, enduring etc.

Information perks all the way.
Most chase perks are kinda meh and slowdown perks can only do so much if you are never in the right place

i prefer chasing and tracking
to quote every single Octane player i have ever met, "Can't stop Won't stop!"

I've found that passive slowdowns and chase perks work better on killers with no mobility. Being 115% with no movement power means PH can't make the best use out of Pop without sacrificing chase time. That's why I prefer Corrupt, Surge, Sloppy, etc.

I ALWAYS prefer chase/tracking perks over regression perks.
Everything that helps me to get into chases fast or make them easier is what i like, which is why i absolutely love Corrupt Intervention + Lethal Persuer.
Also,STBFL is so damn good.I'm using it on Nemesis and the amount of altruistic plays i was able to completely shutdown is amazing

Pyramid Head has great anti-chase power. You don't need any chase perk. Maybe I'm All Ears for hit behind walls. Other perks have to give you info or regression. Because PH has not map mobility. Smart survivors will use this to advantage.

we got tons of regression and chase perks
but only 1 early game perk. More early game perks if you ask me.
2 -
The chase.

Both. Both is good.

Hmm,we have Whispers,Lethal Persuer and Corrupt Intervention that will help us early game.
But i agree that more early game perks would be neat

Use 2 defense, 1 chase, 1 info for the majority of killers.
Although I tend to skip the chase perk and go 2 regression and 2 info because chases isn't the issue, its gen speed and knowledge of all survivor locations
3 -
Whispers is not 100% early. Well played it's more an efficiency perk to cut down dead movements. LP is early game but pretty bad. Corrupt is legit and pretty effective. Wished they whould change some regression/slow down perks and making them to early game perks.
That would cause less stackable regression/slowdown perks and create more options, separated from each other. I mean I would like that but.. whatever.

You're certainly not wrong about that. With survivor perks like prove thyself, and items like tool boxes and brand new parts that help increase the speed of repairs, regression perks are almost a necessity.
Admittedly I hate to have to always rely on them, but if I don't the matches go by too fast. I just wish that passive perks like Surge did more damage.

I want to get better with Nemesis because I figured that STBFL would be worth its weight in gold with him, but trying to be accurate with his tentacle on console is pretty difficult (at least for me). His ranged attack works very much like Pyramid Head, but it's far narrower. Plus I don't like how infection give survivors a speed boost when it does no damage.

Yeah my usual build for most Killers is BBQ, Corrupt, POP, and STBFL. But I hate having to rely on the same perks over and over just to be effective in a match. I would love to branch out, but that usually results in me getting punished. LOL

Depends on your play style. If your more aggressive, chase perks are the way to go. If you have a hard time finding people or want to take your time regression Perks will help you out.

Sadly that's just how it is with killer, like sure both sides have bad perks but I sure do feel killer "needs" a gen defense for example. Iv got use to it though, I just try make it less bland by playing both roles and different killers. Hopefully the older perks get a buff soon

Yeah I don't like using ruin only because I find that the RNG usually results in either the survivors spawning close to the hex, or the totem spawning too close to a generator, which is why I prefer POP even though I hate having to abandon a chase to use it.

It depends on the killer and how you want to play. If you are playing soley to win then use lots of regression if you are playing for fun use chase perks and info perks to help you get into more chases. Also some killers need slowdown a lot more than others while needing little to know help in chases like slinger.

I think it depends on the killer. For example, Legion would need chase perks such as Enduring and Spirit Fury (but still give them regression perks), while a killer that already does well in chase such as Deathslinger will just need regression perks.

Yeah totem spawns are a pain, but I usually run ruin and pop then whatever perks I feel might work as info like discordence, tinkerer, bbq etc. Honestly I like surge but it has so many draw backs to be useful lol
