knockout is brutal on the RPD map
I got 2 bleedouts without even trying the survivors just couldn't find their friends and they were SWF with comms too.
I suspect knockout will get a nerf once the RPD map goes live and killers will use offerings

If a SWF is that dedicated they'll just pull up a map showing the layout of the whole RPD. It's a solo stomping perk and nothing will change that.

That map by itself is brutal.
11 -
Tony what is it about making survivors bleed out that fascinates you so much?
8 -
Good, knockout is a bad perk. At least there's one place it'll shine
1 -
That's brutal but I don't believe they were on comms because they'd have to be idiots to bleed out.
5 -
it's fun

knockout is extremely fun with Ghostface. I find it very comforting.

To be fair, those teammates might've not even known where to find them to begin with. Twice in a row one day I got the RPD and both times I died on first hook because no one came for me, I don't think they could find me? I don't know but to add onto the bulging size of the map, I'm pretty sure it makes Knockout that much stronger. At least it did a number when I used the perk on Hag in RPD. It just makes me wonder how much of it was the perk or the fact the map is a maze to most people.

SWF with comms and they couldn't find them? In the RPD? Someone needs to play RE2 lol

you just replied

Blindness in general on most indoor maps is very strong, even against SWF. Third Seal on Lery’s is golden.
2 -
This is a completely normal statement about mass slugging solo's with Knockout. RCPD has nothing to do with it.
0 -
Look who the OP is. Everyone is a SWF on Comms Vs Tony.
5 -
To be mass-slugged with knockout, you all have to manage to get hit twice before anyone gets picked up, as it doesn't work with chainsaw killers
The answer to this scenario is to get gud
1 -
Not how solo works.
You cannot see anyone who is slugged. At all. In any way. There are no tells or perks that avoid this. You cannot see anyone.
So the killer doesn't waste time hooking anyone and instead leaves everyone to bleed out on the ground because no amount of skill can ever overcome being completely unable to tell where anyone is in a game balanced around teamwork.
2 -
You always have a general idea of where the survivor was downed, because you know where the killer came from
The answer is still to get gud

If you're close enough to see the killer, you're close enough to get lit up by IF.
Stop pretending there's any skill involved. Knockout is a perk designed to take away any semblance of skill. There is nothing a solo player can possibly do except get extremely lucky and be in the right place at the right time on an extremely open map like Blood Lodge. There is no skill involved and that is an extremely rare scenario.

imagine not running bond+open handed or empathy smh my head

If what you're saying about this perk is true, then I can load into a match and get my 4k just by running around m1-ing people and leaving them on the ground
But I don't. Because it's not a good perk. Because everyone still knows where the killer generally is on the map and where the chase happened, then they can go to that part of the map and listen for groans.
Stop pretending this perk is so much better than it actually is. The killers that are actually good at slugging have no use for it, so those who ARE using it are only gaining a slight time advantage by having a survivor on the ground longer than they normally would be.

What do they matter? Knockout was changed to completely trump them.

If you do what I did while I was testing and deliberately go against teams with no SWF, you absolutely can. No question. It's the easiest trials you will ever play in your entire life. I did it as Trapper with nothing but IF and Knockout, bullying the crap out of solo's to prove a point while never laying down a single trap.
The reason you can't autowin just any trial is because most trials have at least a 2-person SWF in them and you have to get lucky and down them both first. Which I have also done and proceeded to win, but it's rather luck-based.

Vids or it didn't happen

You're telling me that you went on 4 chases, 2 hits per chase, and downed all 4 before a single survivor was found? You know how unrealistic of a scenario that is?
If this was a thing, knockout would be a LOT more popular than it is. Fact of the matter is that it takes too long for an M1 to get enough downs to win this way. If it worked on all hits and you said you were playing Oni, I'd believe you. But it takes a true potato to lose to a Trapper this way.

Sure, let me just supply you video evidence from a little over a year ago, before Knockout was buffed and I could actually be a scumbag and only go against solo's, that I totally recorded because I'm a bigshot streamer/youtuber that casually records all of their trials for some reason.
You really, really don't want to think about how little solo's can deal with mass slugging, do you?

I exclusively play Solo when I'm survivor and this has never happened in all my games, you're either lying or you were yellow rank
0 -
I've been winning by slugging and hooking noone
0 -
If you did manage to do that, you absolutely deserve the win because that's an exceedingly rare outcome that only happens if the survivors all have 2 perception
0 -
The moment one person goes down, you win. The survivors see that you injure someone else and try to find the slug, but they can't because they don't know where the slug is.
They're not in a SWF. They have no possible way of co-ordinating. If they somehow manage to find the first slug, the second one is down and you're on your way back. Slug goes back down, you probably got some free hits, now it's just a game of whackamole. Knockout makes it take forever for them to pop up, they're permanently injured, no-one is doing gens because that's the power of slugging everyone. Someone usually bleeds out in this sick and twisted carnival game, but don't mistake the duration for difficulty.
Edit: And stop spamming me. I'm not making any more replies if this is how you behave.

I've played against Knockout, it's not nearly as hard to deal with as you're framing it. I know where the survivor went down because I (and everyone else that plays high-rank survivor) keep tabs on the killer's location. If I don't see an aura, I go back there and run around listening for groans.
I have literally never lost a game to this perk. Both because it's rarely used and that the counterplay is simple unless you're on a labyrinthine map like Lery's

bond tells you where a survivor is. knockout only works upon entering the dying state.

Hi Tony.

And if you're close enough for Bond, you're close enough for IF.
And what if someone isn't using Bond? What if they're using Kindred? What then? Let me guess, a little retroactive counterplay? That's normally what people advise, like that solves anything.

You act as if the slug cannot move and there is no aura read on them at all. 16 meters is a rather large area to find the slug, additionally the slug can see their teammates auras after 15 seconds and move at full speed. If knockout was as strong as you are claiming it would be one of the most meta perks run by everyone. It's extremely situational and map dependent. As far as your 'tests' how many trials did you run? how good were the survivors? what perks did they run?
The fact that the killer you are saying you destroyed with was a Trapper with no traps makes me question how good the survivors you were playing against were. IF has nothing to do with knockout and does not synergize with it in any way. In fact it actively works against it in that if survivors scream they know the slug went down in that area. If IF procs on two survivors trapper can only chase one. The other survivor can very easily discern that and based on the terror radius volume have a general idea of where to head to find the slug and once in 16m can see the slug.

Everything is brutal on that map

Every team is Oracle, according to Tony.

If killer is toxic just be toxic to him. Play hide and seek but you are looking for totems/chests. To touch gen you must find all totems/chests. I think this is an appropriate penalty for the killer, a loss of about 30 minutes of the game looking for survivors. Before anyone writes that hiding for so long is reportable, I'll answer quickly. It's not because finding all the totems and chests can take up to an hour on a new map.
As they say, fight fire with fire :3

Hey, I actually played on RPD for the first time today!…for about 30 seconds…before the round crashed from lag.

sounds like holding the game hostage with extra steps
at least bleed outs end the game
