Finally get the Raccoon City map, and the game crashes.
Here it is July 25th, and for the first time ever I finally get the new map, and what a shock the game crashes. The map was deactivated for weeks, and even when it was reactivated, the chances of getting it were slim to none. Despite all the harsh criticism the new map has been getting, I was excited to finally experience it for myself, so why am I not surprised that it's still not working properly even after the event has passed us by? 🤦 BHVR should be embarrassed because this is ridiculous.

You don't want to play it, its too confusing. It literally gives me a headache every time I try to play through it that I just give up and let the killer have their way with me so I could move on. I will never complain about Midwich again, this map is the worst thing to happen to Dbd.

They never made any false claims that the map was fixed though. They’ve repeatedly warned that crashes on RCPD are still expected. They only reactivated the map in cautious optimism that the volume of crashes should have been reduced.
I understand your disappointment. But to lash out at something the devs already made crystal clear is a little bit on the nose.

It's like the Midwich map. If you're a fan, it's a comfy map that you'll know like the back of your hand. If you're not, you're boned lmao
But it's ridiculous to me that they're still selling the RE chapter knowing that this map launched with it and people will buy the game with the chapter expecting to play it and end up having issues getting it to load (before anyone says "hey it's free you don't pay for it", I know, I'm saying that it's something that was advertised and released alongside the chapter that people will expect to play when they do buy it).

Huh, whenever the map crashes for me I get a blue screen or the game completely freezes. The player level update error is usually just something that happens at the end of a regular match because I dunno reasons.
My matches on this map haven't been great as either survivor or killer. I've tried learning the map by messing around in Custom Matches, but my sense of direction is dog[BAD WORD], I'd get lost in my own house if it had more than 5 rooms.

Only got a in game crash? usually it crashes my game completely and puts me in the xbox dashboard

Doesn't mean that the criticism still isn't warranted. I used to think that nothing could be worse than The binding of Kin chapter, but I was proven wrong. It's clear that BHVR either doesn't really test these chapters, or they release it anyway knowing full well just how poorly everything was implemented.

At first it appeared that the Killer quit, but that didn't prove to be the case at all. The killer had to have been pissed because he was doing fairly well too. He had one kill under his belt, and we were still at four gens. I guess the fact that the entire game didn't crash can be considered an "improvement".

It's a giant maze and you'll be frustrated with it

Its a map that has been timed that going from the west most wall and east most wall with the shortest route takes the same amount of time(Less then a 0.10 of a second difference) to cross as it does to go from one side of mother's dwelling to the other in a straight line.
Yes the map is effectively as long as mother's dwelling along with it being a 3 story tall map(The library is the third story).
Your not missing much from not playing it on either side.

Blame the corporate executives the devs do nothing but make this game great but there are higher ups that probably force them to rush out updates. That’s my theory I don’t know how there place is run

Yeah I play on PS5, but other members in the match were playing on different platforms as well. Regardless this was on BHVR's end.

Retail price. I lucked out and just so happened to secure one from Nebraska Furniture Mart. Ironically enough it was being advertised on Facebook, and I checked my local store and sure enough they had it in stock. Just a case of being in the right place at the right time.

It was the Spider-Man Morales bundle that came with the game and one extra controller. So it was a little bit more, but yeah the retail price of the console was still $500.
I was willing to hold out as long as it took because there's no way that I'm going to reward scalpers for all the shady s*** that they're doing.

Yeah I don't understand why they haven't removed the offerings from the blood web considering that they're still deactivated. Those are blood points I'll never get back. 😕

I have had the map literally once and one survivor disconnected immediately, which prompted the two others to disconnect, and I thought to myself, oh well maybe the killer (Nemesis - so on-brand) will be chilled and we can just explore the map but no he went for me and downed me immediately, so I d/c'ed too. What a prick.

Yeah if the entire team disconnected, the least he could have done was farm with you for at least a little bit.

The offerings weren't removed from the bloodwebs so that people could still collect them for when they were re-enabled. Once the offerings have been enabled, the ones you have already collected will be able to be used.

This map is trash and still crashes. For me on PC it crashes if the survivors get the last generator.
