So uhhh... is this patch fixing console stuttering?
Or are we still stuck with that for another month or so?

It should be. Haven’t seen anything yet though

Good news it’s fixed! I played as trickster on RPD and I didn’t get any frame drops when using his power. I got a little lag spikes but it was only from dead hard it’s much ######### better now

Its playable.

Is it like pre re?

Yeah, probably even smoother honestly.

That is good enough for me then. I will try it tonight. Thanks bud.

Need some more testing, but being able to play Nemesis without a single freeze was reaaaally cool.

Better than before but with some issues when certain actions or game states change (dead hard, other exhaustion perks, but not as bad, infection with nemesis, etc...). This was playing as nemesis on Ps4 btw.
Probably slightly worse then pre-RE chapter due to the length of the drops (bad ones can be a couple seconds), but otherwise feels smoother when these arent occurring (that could also be that I cant remember what a smooth version of this game feels like).

Apparently some said there still is a studder here and there, but nothing ridiculously negative like it was.
Just that.. it's still kinda there. But, this is just from word to mouth, I haven't experimented with it yet.

Hmm so people are having mixed experiences.
I will still try it myself to see if it can be played on my ps4 pro and decide if I should continue.

Btw guys. Update is only 1.6gb for me. ???

You definitely should. It is a lot better than a week ago even with the current issues. My issues were probably also exaggerated by the fact I was playing nemesis, who always suffered from the worst issues pre-mid chapter for me.

How.
What do you use?

It is probably a visual bug because it changed to 937.2mb near the end.
Never saw this happening before. Very weird.
Ps4 pro.

Xbox One player here, and I can say that it is running extremely smoothly!. Probably better than I remember it being before all the problems (although I may have forgotten what it's like).
I do have fast internet, so maybe some of the stuttering comes from that? One thing anyone can do is switch off the console, completely disconnect it from all power cables for a couple of minutes, then put it baxk togethet. That should clean the cache and hopefully improve performance.
But congratulations BHVR! This is a great patch!

I can agree that the game runs a bit smoother but the freezing issue hasn't been entirely resolved.

Running on a base PS4 and it's fixed. First match to try out new Trickster and I can now freely flash my knives without walking into 30 walls along the way. I did get a very minor freeze as survivor on RPD, but it was a literal split second when someone was downed but other than that it's running perfectly.

Good news then. I’ll put crossplay back on (Steam).
