"Iron will will keep you silent even if spirit has Stridor"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SG0as_QY4MQ
Should've been this way from the beginning of time. Made zero sense why 50% of 0% equaled 50%. But finally, thank you. There will never be another change to this game that makes me as happy as this one.

I'm obviously happy to have less stridor spirit in my life but-
1) This doesn't address spirit's core issues
2) IW didn't really need a buff
3) There may only be like three of us who like using stridor on other killers or using the stridor-lite addons nurse, huntress and freddy have but we are out there

The thing is, not everyone is using iron will. So spirit is basically gonna be the same for these people. We shouldn’t have to equip iron will to stand a chance against her. She needs changes!!

It was like that because audio adjustments were done via addition. Iron Will reduces the sounds by 100% of the original volume, Stridor increased the sounds by 50% of the original volume (EG X-1.00X+.5X). If I had to guess the only reasons they changed it were because Bite the Bullet is (probably) multiplicative and Iron Will/Stridor was a very perk-against-perk relationship that people seem to hate.

Well I agree to some degree that you shouldn't have to bring a specific perk for any killer power specifically, but I don't mind it being Iron will since it gives benefit against everyone. Though for those who don't use it she'll still be a problem though I have no ideas for how she could be changed. I felt she was okay, but the stridor thing is what ruined that for me but now that I don't have that problem now I assume speed nerfs would be good for her if anything was to be changed, or make it obvious she's using her power.

That's good.
Can we either:
A) Fix sounds?
or
B) Nerf Iron Will?

Additive vs multiplicative.

Before the engine update of 1.4.0 IW didn't mute breathing. It's been bugged for so long it's now consider a feature.

I was messing around with Stridor on other killers and getting ok results. Guess that's out the window now. Well another perk in the bin I suppose.
I agree, Spirit needed changes not the perk and IW was already really strong.

did you just wrote that 50%+0%=50% makes zero sense?

Is there a way for me to get that template?
I'm much too stupid to work a spreadsheet.

1. IMO, Spirit doesn't have a core issue. The issue with which I think is the issue people have with these so called problematic/boring killers is that survivors only want to play Ring Around The Pallet with every single killer or in other words survivors don't want to change there playstyle to counter a killer.
She doesn't give any information? Okay then why are you trying to loop her?
She can see scratch marks and can hear? But you can control what sounds to give her and you can control your scratch marks.

Didn't feel like any change was needed. Kind of just mutes all the effort put into sound based add-ons that were reworked. Not that they were great to begin with.

Apparently so.

Changed it but not really sure how the plus got there but I was probably thinking and typing really fast without looking at what I put

expect all survivors to start running iron will now

Did they fix the IW bugs with other noises?

I used to run it 100% of the time until I realized Stridor made it pointless to have but we're back at it again.

What are the unused perks? Just curious.

No idea but I had a survivor that couldn't be heard on the ground and I assume it was because of IW. If that's intended I'm surprised but it'll make slugging not as strong of an option.

I can't agree more. As I stated when this was announced, this is only something they are trying in order to "nerf" Spirit, without directly touching her. Which isn't how you solve the issues she brings, as those are tied to her alone, not to a perk. Not gonna say no to that, of course. But if you aren't running IW, then what? What changes? Nothing at all. It doesn't make any sense. "We see that people aren't really falling for every trap the Trapper places so we have decided to make it so, after a set amount of time without being hit by one of his traps, one will generate at your feet and trap you, wherever you are, whatever you are doing". Yup, sounds fine.

I feel that Iron Will shouldn't be such an absolute perk in that there is nothing that can adjust that value because IW has dropped it to zero. There are very few things in DBD that are completely absolute like this ... even if it dropped it to like 2% then there would be a chance to affect it but as it stands IW is a complete "Nope, nothing can counteract or affect this" which doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the perks on both sides.
And of course it's still bugged in regards to normal breathing sounds which they should have fixed when adjusting this.
