If so then spirit is kinda balanced a little you can still see grass moving and follow footsteps

She was nerfed before and people said exactly the same thing. It's going to be same this time too.
She's still got one of the most superior chase powers that also gives her mobility. Losing some tracking won't harm her as much as many may think so, bad spirits it might but good one, not at all.

It's not, I believe from what I've seen it's an iron will bug. I think you can hear footsteps when people aren't injured, but an injured iron will user will not emit footsteps noise for some weird reason, typical bhvr. I guess this patch we play survivor except daylies up until a fix, but having disregarded so many audio bugs for such a long time this is probably gonna stay here for a while.

I imagine it's a bug. Before this patch I noticed killer terror radius seemed way off to me.

As long as you can fake phase as easily as you can right now, Spirit wont be affected that much.

I guess survivors now have their own stand still mind game.
Did they move and you can't hear them, or are they just standing still?
But I kind of think it has to be a bug, otherwise, they would have said something. I feel like that's too big of a change to be intentional.

dev answered this question, it's a bug or not because if it doesn't, it's unfair for the spirit, already that it was the only viable killer of the games on PS4 now the consoles are even more disadvantage

She's unplayable right now against people with Iron Will, which at red ranks there's a lot of. There is no way to have any idea of survivor proximity while in phase without footsteps. I seriously hope this is a bug.

I mean... Losing her hearing is pretty much all her tracking as she can't see survivors. Sure, there's scratchmarks but those aren't reliable, at least not in the current state of the game. They're pretty much all over the place.

The good news is we spirits are no longer forced to use stridor and can finally figure out new builds. Sure it does suck but sound is not the only way of tracking with her

Sound is the huge focal point of her power. Yes she can see scratch marks, or grass moving, or corn moving; but none of these are as reliable as actual audio like breathing, footsteps, and grunts of pain.
And all of the reliable audio is completely deleted with Iron Will. No breathing. No grunts of pain. And for some reason now it’s bugged that there’s no footsteps. The grunts of pain part is obviously fine because that’s in the description of the perk but I still think that survivor should make breathing sounds with this perk.
I don’t want Spirit to be a complete guessing game. Neither on her side where she has little information to work with and she’s just guessing on where to land after phasing or the survivor side where they have a lack of information of what she’s doing and are flipping a coin.
Making Spirit have just as much of a lack of information as survivors have is not the way to “fix her”.

What annoys me is if I don’t run iron will and I get a spirit there’s still absolutely nothing I can do unless I’m at a god window/pallet.

One of her issues is that in situations like this you're pretty much coinflipping and predicting based on how much time she has been standing still, which is still a coinflip because she might've been faking her power during the start or be running duration addons.

Pretty sure it's a bug. People who think she should only rely on breathing simply don't play Spirit. Survivor breathing isn't enough for that to be her main tracking mechanism. Also, we still don't know why survivors seem to not require oxygen at all if that Iron Will.

No it's just her power is designed so poorly she is on the bare edge of needing a complete rework or addon pass/nerf. Way to just assume it's because of salt and not because of gameplay design btw, really mature.

Remember the comments on this thread guys and/or devs whenever there's a discussion about what to do about Spirit. People are vindictive and don't actually care about things being fair. That's just the excuse to make something they don't like easier. You think the people in the thread would give negative feedback on a rework that would make Spirit unusable?

This thread is all the proof needed that bad survivors don't understand how spirit works or how difficult it actually is to play her. Footsteps are by far the most important piece of information to reliably track survivors.
It also shows these same survivors know they've reached the upper limit of their skill level. Even with their SWF groups and plethora of second chance perks they lack either the will or ability to learn how to play against B tier and above killers so they demand the game be made easier for them. It's both sad and comical.

It’s most definitely not intentional. No one killer is exempt from hearing standard and expected survivor sounds. It would be in the patch notes AND updated in Yamaoka Haunting’s tool tip.

Yeah I don't really care honestly, this character can literally stand still and "use" her power. Zero brain required and she should be put in the dirt, her father should of finished the job honestly.

It is definitely intentional as footstep sounds are normal outside phase walk just like Stridor changes are intentional spirit nerf. Let's be realistic, Stridor isn't a meta perk for killer and was only used on Spirit. It was like that in PTB as well.

I've gotten a "free" hit as an unshrouded Ghostface standing at the top of stairs as a survivor ran into me.
Literally every killer can stand still and get hits.
Maybe just maybe you don't walk at the killer and expect anything besides getting hit.

A good rule of thumb is that if a change is not listed in the patchnotes it's most likely a bug.

You can see grass moving when she phases and I believe dust from her steps. If she's phasing to catch up to you often times you can hear the woosh sound. Never immediately vault into her husk. Run from tbe loop first and if you can't get anywhere else quickly then make a tight circle to muddy your scratch marks and run back to the loop. She won't have time to make it back to the opposite side of the loop before her phase runs out.

it's probably a bug, the buff to Iron Will probably messed everything up.
I mean i noticed weird sounds coming out of hooks when playing so yeah it's gonna get fixed.
