Jason Voorhees is coming to Dead by Daylight?
It's just a rumor, but according to Tommy Jarvis actor Corey Feldman, he hints that the legal battles with the Friday the 13th franchise have been resolved only they haven't confirmed yet and I got to wondering, if Almo said the next killer has a Popsicle-breaking ability, I immediately put aside that it could be Candyman or Dracula and I think it could be Jason. It's just a rumor like I said, but according to the news it's hinted that it's over and gives Behavior the green light to take it to the game.

If the legal issues were indeed settled they'd definitely save Jason for the Anniversary. Also, if they got the rights immediately, like the second they were available, it'd still be somewhere around 6-9 months before the chapter releases (at least I believe that's what they've stated is their development timeline for new chapters)
Although I'd love to see him make his way to the game and he's one of my dream chapters I'm not holding my breath.

True, but they will always add new killers at some point or else the game will die. So let them skip their next D-tier killer and put real effort into the most iconic slasher/horror character there is.

the game doesn’t get supported anymore. Partly due to the legal issues.
Also, BHVR has already stated Jason will always be welcome in DbD (once the lawsuit is settled) and for such a big iconic franchise, it doesn’t make sense to make him a legendary skin. The license-holder won’t be satisfied with just a skin, as that doesn’t get as much attention as a new chapter as well as money.
we already have similar killers that are distinct enough to one another (Hillbilly and Bubba to name the most obvious one).

Jason only really used traps in 1 movie Friday the 13th (2009) all the other movies he never used traps like that, So why make a legendary skin for trapper as Jason when it doesn't really fit the way Jason killed in all the other movies.
Having Jason as a killer and not a skin for trapper will open it up for them to add more skins for him based on all the movies and even weapons like in the game you could use different weapons based on what he used in the movies. Having him just as a skin they will miss out on a lot off chances to add things to the game and people will get it because it's Jason.

You can’t decide that. That’s up to the devs and the license holder.
i am pretty sure the devs said they leave the game for good. Of course they could make new negotiations and start the work again, but there is currently no reason to believe that, as the lawsuit was also just partly a reason why the game died.

Your opinion is just that. However, fact is, Jason is not Trapper, despite Trapper being the Dev's version of Jason early on in the game.
He is one of the most iconic slashers ever. Saying we dont need Jason because Trapper, is like saying, well we have star trek so we don't need star wars. They are both set in space. Same thing.

Keep in mind that this is coming from Corey Feldman, and he doesn't strike me as the most truthful of characters in every situation.
Do I believe that he and the other Corey were abused at the hands of predators in Hollywood?
Yes, absolutely.
Do I believe that anyone other than Corey Feldman stabbed Corey Feldman with a pen while he was riding in a cab? Do I believe that anyone other than Corey Feldman left a calendar with the words "wolf pack" on the front on Corey Feldman's doorstep just before his PPV film was about to drop?
Not really. I believe that he was hyping up his movie and trying to draw attention to himself.
Don't forget that this all came in a public bid to get people to support him in a "Tommy vs. Jason" movie.
I think that what happened is he got drunk and talked to some other drunk person (a lawyer, perhaps - perhaps not even one directly involved in the case) at a party, who told him that he heard that people may possibly just maybe could be trying to at some point in the near future work things out to get the franchise back on track, and Feldman's eyes lit up with dollar signs.
I'm not saying I wouldn't watch a Tommy vs. Jason movie, but it's pretty clear that he wants his character's name at the front of the title in big red letters. I think Feldman's statement had more to do with Feldman than with Jason, although I do hope there's some truth behind it.
He will make it into the game. It's a question of "when".
The only thing that might prevent this is the possibility that the F13 game makes a comeback as a result, and those devs don't want to share the character (and have a legal right to keep it from happening). I think the possibility of this happening is low, but I'd welcome this outcome, also. We need more DBDlike games.

We already have two ######### dead skin mask-wearing rednecks with chainsaws. We've already crossed that line.
There are only so many variations on killer the devs can do, and they can still make Jason or Art or whoever else perfectly playable and original with cool, usable powers and decent perks, even if there are one or two small elements in common.
And I know the chances of it happening are low, but I'd ######### love to see B-movie killers like Art the Clown, Chromeskull, and Babyface in the game. If DBD isn't going to license them, maybe somebody will make a similar game and do it. Just putting that out there in the ether.
I also want to see Scooby-Doo characters added to the game (I know the chances of this happening are even lower).
I also want to see five or six more clowns in the game eventually. The one we already have is a sorry excuse unless they buff him a few dozen more times (and even then, I want more clowns anyway).

I mean technically, the lawsuit only really covers the first movie if im not mistaken. And hockey mask Jason doesnt show up until the 3rd movie. I think the devs could have added jason at any time, just leaving out certain aspects of his back story. Like pamela and drowning.
But then they would basically have a ghostface situation where they have a skin that isn't really the character.
Though i think a Jason chapter with a Pamela legendary skins would be absolutely amazing!

Jason skins on trapper will not be Jason and every Jason fan will know that, if people/devs want Jason in the game they want Jason not a skin that goes on a killer that is not even close to how he kills. Jason is a stalk killer coming out off nowhere and killing people and if seen he just destroys everything in his path i.e one power/perk could be he can bust though pallets and doors a lot quick (like in the game when you get rage) trapper nothing like that.
Putting a Jason skin on trapper is pretty much a insult to every Jason fan and even the people behind him, helped with the movies and everyone else that made Jason who he is today. There is so much they could do with him as a killer and Jason fans that don't play this game will get the game and Jason DLC just to play as Jason not a crappy skin on a killer that is nothing like him.
As for his power/perks there is so many options they could even take some from the game and use and adjust them for DBD, the first version of his teleport skill when he used it and you get to the location when you come out off it there was fog or something that surrounded him, they could do something like that he can teleport to spots and when he does the area fills up with fog making it harder to see. Add in his stalk and you get a killer that has good map pressure and will make the chase fun/scary the options they have is a lot to just make him a skin.

its okay to have killers that aren't nurse or spirit level. it makes the game interesting.
As an avid demo enjoyer, I can tell you they can make good killers that aren't blight, nurse, spirit levels of good that are healthy for the game.
thinking otherwise is really misguided.
Also in the friday game jason like phases around the map and the campers can fight back with various elemental things like shovels, guns, etc... but it never really kills him really. not saying its a good idea, just lots of cool possibilities.
With that being said, doubtful but possible. i mean #########. we got new lines cinemas Freddy.

I figured the biggest mechanic would be hooks; if a killer catches another killer carrying, he'd want to attack that killer and knock him out to grab survivor for a hook instead.

Tbh I just imagine Jason as an overly Aggressive Killer with some power that makes him stronger when survivors punish him with pallets, flashlights, completed gens, and other things.
