In any case, they need to be reintroduced.
Yesterday alone I had 8 games in a row where the killer said goodbye when he lost.
Not to mention all the disconnects of the survivor when you play killer or solo. Currently I can hardly play a round without one leaving the game early.

Not yet. When consoles have been "fixed" in two weeks or so then sure, but up until then no. The whole reason they were disabled in the first place were due to last gen console issues anyways.

My answer to this is no to penalties for disconnecting for it is not neccessary or required for a video game to punish players for game difficulties. That is all. Goodbye

Yes, let's re-enable DC penalties when the game is having its worst wave of unintentional disconnects.
Also, suiciding is still a thing. But still, DC penalties.

I've had quite a few teammates and opponents DC when they're absolutely winning. No-one does that. It is crystal clear to me that those are crashes.

It's not a surprise that once again Disconnections have run rampant and gone out of hand when the penalties were disabled again. They're actively ruining normal matches for survivors but also for killers as well who most of the time just want to play a normal match.
I had a game sometime recently where three people (including me) all got hooked once, and another guy actually got his second hook before the 4th guy was even downed. We were maybe halfway through the match with 3 gens left and in decent standing- this dude hadn't even been hooked yet he had zero hooks.
As soon as he goes down on the ground he immediately disconnects.
It was actually some of the most baby behavior I had ever seen in a long long while.
Needless to say once we lost our 4th hopes of escape were quickly dashed away and the killer cleaned us up pretty decent after that. Though I think we gave it a good effort and managed to get the generators done or had one generator left just before we all died.
Fuck that guy. EDIT: Strange- did they get rid of the profanity filter on these here forums??

They will come back in the mid chapter when the devs believe they've recitifed performance issues causing people to crash

Console simply isn’t ready yet. As soon as they get things running properly again they can bring it back. But people shouldn’t get punished because the devs are bad at optimizing

Stuff is glitchy and it's disconnecting people right now. Me and a few other people I know keep getting error code 8012, which seems to be a server issue. Also I have not noticed a huge difference in the amount of people disconnecting overall though. Even then, I don't mind when people do. It makes the round as survivor kind of amusing, and if I'm killer I play nice.

I think people should have the option to explain why they dc'd so that if there is a common issue the devs see a lot, they can fix the issue.

I just had 2 people disconnect on me. Both of them did it because after they got unhooked they ran at me and I slugged them so I wouldn't eat their DS, they got mad and dc'd. Like, okay I'll down you again but nowhere does it say I HAVE to pick you up after downing you especially when you do something like that.

Some survivors also disconnect when they miss their DS, very annoying and most of all unfair.

unfortunately it still can't activate, the game continues with poor optimization and closing alone in the middle of matches out of nowhere.

I play by steam, just today it happened to me, I was a killer and took the surv to put it on the hook there out of nowhere the game closed and the dbd crash message appeared on my screen.

I'm on switch but I talked to a couple of the people who disconnected on discord, they disconnected after they had ran back at me after being unhooked and then got slugged for a minute. They told me they disconnected because I wouldn't let them use DS on me. Like, honey if you want to get chased again directly after getting unhooked that's fine, but I don't have the reward you for playing bad and giving me free pressure since I know what you're doing.
