Will the removal of hits through pallets help with the predrop and W meta.
Predrop and W is just as strong but now pallets are more reliable to get stuns do you think the meta will shift to trying to get more stuns or will stick with Predrop and W.

I think i it will be the same, pallet camping however will skyrocket.

"W meta" LMAO, someone tell those "W meta complainers" how silly they look
4 -
Like killers also dont use W and bloodlust.
The W argument has always been so dumb imo.
8 -
I mean, with so many killers at this point that are the "if you drop the pallet, you get hit, if you don't, you get hit" type, can you really blame them?
7 -
People have realised how effective the hold w strat is so I doubt it

Back in the days when killers were complaining about looping we were joking that someday killers will complain about survivors just running in straight lines. It was a joke back then and no one took it seriously and here we go, now it's reality. Killers these days, sigh
9 -
Yet people actually think this game is killer sided…
3 -
Keep bloodlusting then?
1 -
Because it's not a problem, this strategy is much much weaker than looping, if a survivor is somewhat decent with looping, it wastes pallets, there are enough ranged killers. I won most games as killer in red ranks with old Wraith. If you can't, you are doing something wrong. Period.

Hit Validation is going to change how we play, drastically.
I switched sides, I'm playing more killer than survivor and now I have to rewire my brain on how to loop around a pallet. I really don't think it's fair because now survivors, specially those on red ranks, know they can keep extending the loop if the killer respects the pallet, but if the killer doesn't most of the time the killer will get the stun. Mind you, reworked maps now have more pallets back-to-back, like the Coldwin Farm or The Game, keep that in mind. I have had survivors really close to me on a loop, only for me to get stunned and then they run to the next pallet. Once the killer shack had 2 other pallets close to it, which only made it more frustrating.
I had someone dead hard back into a pallet, I was just in front of them, hit attack, the attack connected, yet the pallet took away the hit.
That's not fair, if you want to fix pallets do it in a way that doesn't completely benefit one of the sides.
Playing survivor around a pallet feels too powerful now unless the killer has anti-loop or projectiles.
Maybe I'm just not used to how pallets work anymore and that's why I don't understand how to play around them now, maybe I'm right and it's not completely fair for killers. Either way, I recommend those that like me play both sides to see how you feel around a pallet from each perspective.

Personally, I don't go for survivors that just hold W. It's not worth it. If you're approaching a survivor and they already are a mile away, look for other survivors.
Someone has to be the weak link and if not, try to go for a 3 gen.
Usually good survivor teams and solos would deny the killer a 3 gen and if you can make them waste all of the pallets near the 3 gen, you now have a free playground for you.
It's worked for me with Ghostface and Trapper, try that. Ignore the other comments dismissing your concerns, they are valid and I felt like you too, specially considering I started playing killer seriously like 2 months ago.

Meta? What else I'm gonna hear here.
1 -
Am I the only one who has yet to see this meta? Don't know if it's because I always try to zone out survivors, but most of those I face just loop normally.
0 -
It's mostly on maps with long hallways, like Midwich and Lery's. The church and the circus, the farms and the McMillan State don't have this issue for the most part.
I don't think the problem is holding W, the problem for me seems to be pallet density. Sometimes a survivor can just run straight forward to another pallet after stunning the killer
0 -
Holding W is boring, but what do you expect? Bhvr released multiple antiloop killers in a row. All that left was to pre drop and run. Add to that constantly getting hit through pallets and why would survivors loop?
3 -
What does bloodlust have to do with boring? I'm literally giving you a way to counter holding W, not my fault you dont wanna acknowledge it because it would prove you wrong
2 -
Pre-dropping is still correct against zoning killers, slowdown killers, Doc, etc.
The issue lays in the nature of the powers. And there are several like that.
1 -
Fair enough. Thats why I love blight so much he is the complete opposite. You try to just take distance and Ima ram my cane into your back.
0 -
Yeah, these maps are horrible for killers with normal TR. That I agree.
What's your TTV?

I have an idea! why don't we ask bhvr to remove all pallets from the game? then we could ask that the pressure of w be stopped for 5 seconds every 10! it makes me laugh to think that some time ago someone complained about the loop! result? nerf pallets! now you complain about w? It's ridiculous to complain that you can't hit me through a pallet or window 100% of the time anymore because of the ping! now there is an honest system that gives killers and survivors a 50% chance! I think sometimes it is better to acknowledge your opponent's superiority than to cry all the time! signed a survivor who doesn't complain about camping or tunneling .... Friend Killer improve your game and stop complaining too!
2 -
My comment isn't even a complain, what the hell are you talking about?
0 -
Tf? If anything I am saying the pallet change is a good thing because it puts more incentive to actually use loops.
2 -
you wrote that the new system benefits one side. you wrote this and it's fake! :) don't get mad, you're just talking!

I tagged you for knowledge!

People complain when survivors loop
People complain when survivors don't loop
Make up your mind
3 -
Well I prefer when survivors loop because its more fun and more chances to outplay the other player. Different people complain about different things. Contrary to popular belief killer players aren't all one massive hivemind that see the game in the same way.
8 -
That's because most people can't even loop a super safe pallet. The only reason most killers have such a high kill rate is because like 90% of the players play poorly on survivor. DBD's current balance actually relies on people playing poorly on survivor. If most people could loop and do gens effectively the killer experience would be terrible.
1 -
You cant bloodlust if the game dont consider this chase a chase because you are too far from the survivor. Now all survivor do that and its impossible for the killer to win the game. Btw dont forget its easy to say you just need to bloodlust but it take 15 second of consecutive chase before you get a tier 1 bloodlust that mean no power and dont lose the LOS
3 -
This is exactly the reason 'holding w' has become a thing. BHVR basically make 'holding w' the only option survivors have with anti-loop killers or hit-through-pallets. Nemesis and Pyramid Head both are almost useless to loop against since their power goes through pallets and walls. Spirit you have no way knowing where she is. Trickster hits you over short-wall loops, so it's better to be further away from him to try and dodge his knives. Freddy has pools. Nurse is nurse. Leatherface goes at nascar speeds around a loop if he uses his power and eats pallets quicker than the cookie monster eats cookies.
Looping is DEAD

I just know it gonna waste more of the killer time giving survivors basically a free stun, they need to reduce the pallet hit box as well if this going to be the norm, i shouldn’t be stun around the corner of a wall, or still get stun trying to respect the pallet. Survivors still gonna complain about how killer is somehow op and needs nerf and how survivors suffer losing one game out of the 1000s game they won
0 -
Stop the disinformation, nothing has been removed: I still get hit through pallets.
0 -
I never complained about loop, therefore I don't deserve to deal with people who just hold W instead of playing the game.
0 -
Run to jungle gym and use windows then run and dead hard to killer shack or cow tree or God pallet 🤣
0 -
Meta = the most effective items/techniques. For example, Dead Hard, Iron Will, and Unbreakable are meta perks because they are powerful and hold up in the metagame.
Holding W is the best strategy against majority of the killers. Holding W IS the meta, because getting distance against killers that can't close distances well is the best strategy. That's why we call it W meta.
4 -
Now you just barrel on and cant respect the pallets hoping for the best...wait til you play the game or ormond 🤣
0 -
Running away from the killer is part of the game
0 -
Then, just like others, that said they didn't get the hit as killer, were told, you probably have the higher distance to the server, the worse ping or play on wifi.
0 -
The pallets are safe enough to force a kick.
IT is mostly when used with a swf. You just run as far away from the gens being done as possible and get free gen time making the killer have to walk all the way back again. This isn't an issue on smaller maps but on maps like asylum and the forest... well.
0 -
Reject the pallet hit validation BS and go back to Enduring meta
0 -
Right?? I can't complain about holding W without someone going "well first you complain about survivors looping and now-"
Except no I didn't?
1 -
It's a problem but depends on map + killer combo.
Many reworked maps have structures that makes lose line of sight, if by "luck" the survivor decides to go away and the killer hesitates for a mind game the won time and distance by the survivor can be really strong.
But i don't know how that could be fixed at all.
0 -
Yeah I swear people see the other side as 1 player that plays every single game of that side at once.
1 -
Hold W is why you see more killers run more slow down perks.
And why you rarely see not that strong killers.
Why do people think that blight, wraith etc are being used more? Because they can actually deal with hold W.
No good killer ever complained about looping, THAT IS THE FUN PART OF PLAYING KILLER.
chase interaction is why people play this game, it was fun to outplay and being outplayed, now you rarely see survivors looping, all you see now is hold W throw strong pallet, forcing killer to break it, hit hold w once again to the other side of the map, not to the next pallet or tile.
It will not change, hold w will stay.
3 -
Holding w is meta, but not for survivors :) lol
0 -
It’s definitely a stupid thing for people to complain about. But there is a complaint to be made about the devs making the meta strats this boring.
0 -
Neither of these.
