Are hackers in dbd still a thing

So I was watching some videos of dbd hackers and was wondering if their still a thing since I play on console and not pc I don't know if they can hack while using cross play or not so are they still a thing or just gone now.

  Yes they are. No game is hacker free, DBD just seems to have a surplus recently.

  Hackers are a thing, yea, as @GoodBoyKaru stated. And yes, they can still be hacking in your console lobby if you have crossplay enabled. Best to just report them when the game is over and move on, not much you can do sadly.
