Remove or allow to turn off autoplay for the Intro Cinematic
The Intro Cinematic that plays whenever Dead By Daylight is opened only really serves to waste players' time. Especially for players with lower-tier PCs and the like.
Since the update, in fact, the Intro Cinematic causes my game to consistently fail to respond, until the entire cinematic has ended. That's nearly two minutes of my time wasted because of an unskippable cutscene that additionally desyncs audio and video. This never happened before the update, and even before the update it took a few seconds for the cinematic to skip itself.
Just outright remove the intro cinematic from Dead By Daylight. It'll save players a lot of time either way. Give us the ability to watch it in the tutorial menu or the game menu or something. We could even find it on YouTube if we want and I'm pretty sure it's on the Steam Page as well.
We don't want to watch the intro cinematic every single time we boot up the game. Me, especially, since I have to wait for the entire thing to play through and lag and make white noise because the cinematic and only the cinematic starts overloading my CPU.
Also, when the game isn't responding, Mute Focus doesn't work so I can't actually mute the cinematic either whether I tab in or out and it's just a nuisance.
TL:DR, unskippable unmutable unignorable intro cinematic, pls remove or give option to stop it from autoplaying.

I rather like the intro cinematic. Just skip it before it comes on.0

Okay, your reason for its removal is because it has a crash bug.
Shouldn't you request a fix?
Cause then you can just skip it like usual again.1 -

I cannot skip it before it comes on, because the game overloads my CPU and stops responding so I can't.
Also, the thing where it shows the devs of the game, the engine, and the years and stuff of the game's copyright? Those count as the cinematic, as I've skipped them before when I used to play on console.
That being said, if you like it you can find it on YouTube. I highly doubt you watch it every single time you boot up the game.
I'm forced to watch it every single time I boot up the game because the new engine makes the cinematic overload my CPU, making me unable to skip it.0 -

Cause then you can just skip it like usual again. It's not a crash bug, the game stops responding but it still goes on until the cinematic finishes. It's because it stops responding that it won't register as the active window and thus I can't skip the cinematic.
There's no crash, just an unskippable cutscene that hinders my PC in every other regard while it goes on.0 -

That's my bad, I didn't read the whole post :P try putting a TL;DR somewhere in there. Anyway, sorry bout the bad luck! Hopefully there will be a fix for that!
No worries, I understand that. Same happens to me all the time.
I'll edit a TL;DR into my post.0 -
I agree, it should be possible to make it completely skip it, so that it doesn't load in the first place, which shouldn't be a problem for BHVR to make it so we can skip it. Not sure if steams -novid startup parameter could disable it as that is intended for source, but it's worth a try.

Though my response remains unchanged: A request for a fix should do.0 -
Maybe just an option to turn it off? Why you gotta throw away the whole cinematic.2
