Anyone else feel a bit bummed?
Although there's currently a blood hunt happening (finally), I just feel bummed from playing the game. Could be the fact that the recent "event" is a copy + paste from last year's and the awful optimization many ppl including myself had to face during the RE chapter's release.
Lately, I'd only play a few matches a day and even if I had the whole day to myself, the game just burned me out. I noticed other forum members mentioning how they feel a bit bummed too from other discussions so it kind of sparked my interest in making this one.
Anyone else feeling the same/similar way or something you'd like to share?

Getting burned out is a natural part of gaming and yes, it is a bit disappointing that they really didn't do much for the anniversary. I was really hoping that they'd go all out like they promised and wow us, but unfortunately, we got the bare minimum. I don't know what they're so scared to switch things up a bit and introduce new, temporary mechanics for events, such as teleporting lockers, or oil slicked floors that'll cause you to slip and slide, but I guess they're just unable to do much other than work on new chapters.
At least this game allows you to pick it up and go and when you come back, you can just resume playing again. This way, you can go play something like Civilization, take a breather, and come back refreshed.

I know what you mean, this game does burn me out a lot so I try to take a little break and then comeback.
As for the anniversary yeah I wish they would’ve given us more than the crowns and cakes in matches, but it was generous of them to give us all those BP’s and shards.
Hopefully they’re looking back on this and try to start introducing new things for future events.

This is one of the lower points in the games recent history, i'll say. 2 underwhelming killers in a row, most of the new perks are pretty boring and unassuming, the entire console community suffered for almost 2 full months, the recent trickster buffs are frustrating and equally underwhelming, an incredibly boring event with rehashed cosmetcs, etc etc. We all have a right to be pretty bummed right now, DBD is just not in a healthy place. Were moving out of the proverbial silver age of content we had for the last year and a half and moving back into another dark age.

I'm waiting on bots, till then its a couple of games a week.
After a great mid week I made the mistake of playing this weekend. I realise there are probably a lot of kids playing on the weekend but that alone can't account for the sheer low quality of game experience.
The constant obnoxious play that is just kinda irksome and immersion breaking. Also the enldess salt and abuse post game.
None of this really affects me personally as who cares what some random stranger thinks about how a game went, but at the same time it does make you kinda think hmm do I really want to keep playing with these people today.
I mean people can say just beat them down if they are being like that but that's still not it. Who cares if you win or lose a crap game, the experience is lackluster and any real sense of achievemnt is imagined.
The most fun I've had today is playing the tutorial again, because the bots (while easy) are at least immersive and they aint obnoxious.

There are good games and bad game - majority of my games have been good. I don't get triggered by what others call toxic behavior though (camping, tunneling, teabagging, clicking, etc). I don't need a 4k as killer or to escape as survivor to have a good game. The fun for me is the challenge - which is why most games I consider "unfun" are afk killers, farming, and survivors who DC/kill themselves on hook.

I'd love if they did a bit more for the anniversary events, but I just don't see it happening.

I'm really hoping that they gave us a lackluster anniversary because they are absolutely gonna knock Halloween out of the park but... im ready to be disappointed

The anniversary event was a bit lackluster to say the least. The crown and gnome chompski events were a big letdown for me. This current Rift has one single outfit that I'm working towards but the rest of it feels beyond lackluster... I was really pleased with the map reworks and the graphics update until I got home today and played with the new character models. This is my personal opinion and I know it's not a universal truth but I think that what they did to Kate was a travesty and I'm pretty bummed that my P3 character who has every upgraded perk, endless items, specialty items from 3 years of anniversaries, and who I have spent a lot of money on cosmetics now looks so bad.
I'm actually going to change my main because I cannot stand how badly they butchered Kate's face. And the sheer amount of time and BP it will take to get someone to her level plus the money to buy a variety of outfits is just... I do feel pretty low right now.

I mean, they promised that they'd stop doing the smaller events and focus their resources on the two main events. I don't think making the floor slippery or teleporting lockers would take too much work. I mean, they have killers that teleport, so it isn't far fetched.
They could also reuse the mechanics in the future, or add them into the core game if they get a good response. Events would be a good time to experiment with new things that may or may not work and not get too much of a back lash.

Yeah, I remember them saying that. Don't get me wrong, I would love if they did more for the events. It just seems like they don't care in my opinion, so I can't see them putting that much work into it. Would be cool if they added some new mechanics to the core game though.

Right now I'm bummed because my friend just got the game on Switch so he could play with me, and there's even a Blood Hunt going on, but the Switch is blocked from cross-play so we can't play together.
I was definitely disappointed that, after they said they'd be doing more for the two events they have each year, all they did was a copy-and-paste of last year's Anniversary event. Them following it up with a Blood Hunt where I can't even play with my friend... it just sucks.

I feel bummed because lately there is not so much good news, except for the Trickster change that I am thinking of becoming a main Trickster. I'm looking forward to seeing the Swamp and Haddonfield visually reworked. Like cosmetics for Myers or a legendary Robin skin from Stranger Things.
Imagine, Duo Scoops Ahoy and the S.T.A.R.S teaming up to survive.

I'm bummed because this game still exudes unfun despite me wanting to love it. I mainly play Killer but the performance is so awful that I can't play seriously. So, trying to play Survivor and it's awful. Ppl DC at the start, or Killers are just tunneling/camping POS that are toxic about it all.
There's a Double Bloodpoint event and I'm barely getting any value from it because Killers are just face rolling on their damn keyboard.
So unless console performance gets fixed, esp as Killer...I'm just kinda left trying to enjoy that game

All I face is high red rank killers using A or S tier killer or builds for months. The current MMR has been an absolute drain.

Yeah I'm burned out. I skipped trickster so his changes does nothing for me. As for the bloodhunt I just can't be asked. I grinded 500,000 points and just stopped.
The event turned into a cake farm. I hate the new map and Nemesis got dull way too fast. I'm not really interested in anymore licensed killers. I just hope the next original killer is something interesting.

Yeah, I don't understand why they're so hesitant on temporary mechanics. I really miss those events back in 2017/2018 when it added a twist or effect on trials. But true, I've been focusing on other things until I get some fuel to play the game "normally" again.

Yeah I was having such a hard time finding cakes on my bloodwebs and not many people would contribute their cakes during matches :(
Oh wow, at least you're getting some good value out of the double BP hunt!
Yeah, I don't play Kate much, but her new facial rework... ooh-
I hope your grind on your next main goes well! *gives hug*

Yes quite generous for them to give out virtual currency which has no real world value. It was not generous at all, considering how little effort it takes. All it does is allow them to get by a little more without addressing the real issues being the intense grind among other things.

I started playing ff14 again. I only play dbd now if friends want to swf.

I am not having any fun at all playing this game right now as a solo survivor. Rank reset + all the new players from RE has made solo queue an absolute nightmare. I get teammates who literally cannot even hit skill checks. Games where all three teammates refuse to do gens. One game, I got the last gen done to 90% and then the killer chased me off. I just had a feeling my teammates weren't doing anything, and I went to check both doors, and my three teammates were standing at the gate, just waiting for me to finish the gen for them. I had another game on Lerys where two teammates crouched together on the upper level of the theater, while i did an entire gen by myself (I was running Bond). Today, I played one game and was Tomb stoned out of the game with 4 gens left. He hadn't touched anyone the entire game. It's so nice to see killers playing like such ######### like that during the bloodhunt. So yeah, I'm not having fun with DBD. I think a lot of veteran players are leaving in droves. I personally know six people who stopped playing months ago.

That's reasonable. Friends do make this game more enjoyable.
Those are quite miserable matches you had going on *gives hug* , but yeah I understand your frustration.
