Being tunneled or camped may not be as it seems from a killer's perspective
Scott Jund has a video where a survivor thinks he's being tunneled and camped. But from the killer's perspective, it's simple not true.
It's a match showing 2 perspectives: the killer, and the hooked survivor.
From the survivor's perspective, he feels like he is being tunneled out of the game. But it shows a different picture through the eyes of the killer played by Scott.
I think this mostly affects players that solely just play 1 side.
Of course there are killers that do tunnel and camp; I'm not denying that. But sometimes not all 'tunnel or 'camp' may be as it seems.

Well I like Scott and he is true about this statement.
What killer can do if not "camping" when all 3 survivors are near the hooked one and/or they run around instead of moving away to give a chance to safe unhook him.

Every situation is different for everyone.

You can also feel empathy for the other side when u play the other side. You can understand their behavior only when u play the other side.
Some people on this Forum can't relate to this.

Exactly!! When I play survivor and we make it at the exit gate, I'm not gonna clicky clicky tea bag wait for killer to swing then exit cuz i know how ######### that is when I play killer. "Ohh but its just for the funzies, why you getting so mad over someone crouching LMAO" . "Imagine getting mad at pixels on your screen". 🙄

Unfortunately the mindset of killers on this forum is ‘anything goes’, even against casual solo queue players. Really unhealthy for the game, no sportsmanship at all.

I don't miss going against full meta build ebony mori iridescent head with infantry belt huntresses just because they were mad at the game

Yeah, it always seems to be the innocent players who fall victim to their rage.

I guess for some people it's a vicious cycle of being bad mannered in game when playing killer, getting ######### talked post game how bad you suck you are a ######### killer.

This exactly. But even if you don't enjoy one side or the other, that doesn't make you immune to listening to what others have to say and learning from it.
I see too many players say "I have to play x, y, or z way" as if the game is holding them at gunpoint to use unfun perks or BM. They feed into the cycle and then get upset when it's not changing.

There is absolutely a... tunnel 😎...vision problem many survivors have. I had a streamer I watched when I was Oni get SUPER pissed at me for "tunneling" them.
They kept going back to the same generator while injured. In their mind, I was doing nothing but hunting them. What they didn't see though was me going to the other side of the map, checking on three gens, not finding anyone, before walking back to the gen they were working on when I heard them whimpering in the next room. All they saw in their mind was them getting unhooked, their teammate taking off and not healing them, then the killer coming back instantly (even though it was about 45 seconds; not a ton of time in real life but a long ass time for a killer in this game), and dropping them. They were the only one hooked three times in a row as I couldn't find anyone else and they were constantly going back to the same gen.
Too many survivors only focus on themselves that they don't realize how much the killer did before they were found again.

Thats nice. But these situations are not what plague my games.
I watch killers camp hooks despite having seen 3 survivors with BBQ.
I watch killers camp hooks because they only saw 2 survivors with BBQ.
I watch killers camp hooks because that hook is basement and they're playing Bubba.
I watch killers camp hooks because they want to.

Yes. ALL the threads complaining about camping, tunneling, noed, ruin ect. My only response is "You don't play killer do you?" This is why I dont stream. It's only evidence that your wrong half the time.

Its kind of the theme of the game though.
I mean how odd does it sound to ask the viscous monster to brutally murder you as politely as possible. I know I hate it when I get a rude knife wielding maniac.
They stabbed me repeatedly then ate my brains and they didn't even do it in a polite sportsman like manner.
It really doesn't bother me to get a killer who goes for the kills because that's thematically appropriate. If people want a hold W loop simulator then there are plenty of racing games out there where you do just that. I'd rather have a scary horror survival scenario where I fought to survive and if I screwed up then I'd probably die and die quickly at that.

I think the point, even from a games rules perspective, is there is nothing wrong with any of those scenarios.

I think what we all need to let go of is that this shouldn't be a game with empathy for the other side. It's built on an 'anything goes' mindset which we all rebel against when it impacts us as individuals.
I constantly feel tunneled but I'm sure it's not what I think. I am terrible at situational awareness in this game. About 40% of the time, I'm just stupidly blundering into the killer. I might b***h that a killer is tunneling me to my wife but then I just move on to the next match.
I guess I'm moving into more of a mindset lately that there's no point getting upset at the 'other side' and trying to make behavior rules. Only a subset of people even see anything online about the game, so most people you encounter aren't aware of these discussions, anyway.
So yeah, when I feel tunneled or a killer is camping me, then that's just something that happens and I just prefer to move on to do my best and then move on to the next match.

People simply have fragile egos attached to a piping system that has many glaring flaws. Also, the people that complain about being tunneled are almost never right. The queue times are short, go next. It doesnt happen in red ranks very often. If you are good at the game, you and your team can punish it, as well.
