How would you rework and/or change Rookie Spirit?
I think out of all the new perks for the resident evil chapter Rookie Spirit is easily the worst out of them all. It's not that good and I can't think of a build to even include with it.
How would you change Rookie Spirit? It doesn't have to be meta just more viable.

Huh?
Rookie Spirit is a great info perk, especially for solo.
- it can potentially tell you the killers movements.
- find a gen if having difficulty finding one, and it’s also telling you those gens should have priority.
- It tells you when teammates are leaving gens when Ruin is active.

Really. When I was watching gameplay of it it seemed lack luster.
And doesn't other perks do those things better like Alert and Visionary?

I'd just make it show gen progress through aura intensity, that would be enough for me.
Maybe if you want to make it really good for solo queue let the other survivors see the aura of a regressing gen that you last touched while running RS as well.

Alert won’t tell you about the killers interactions with survivors on gens when Ruin is active, and Visionary isn’t map wide.

I think Rookie Spirit is a solid and underrated perk for the same reasons @TheClownIsKing mentioned.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if 3 skill checks are done, you'll always see gens that regress, right? For example, 3 skill checks get done, a regressing generator's aura appears, and a killer damages another one, would that one show? If so, then it's definitely a great perk.

Rookie spirit is underrated honestly if the killer is using ruin it's the survivor version of ruin and surveillance

It's a good perk as is.

Correct.

Yeah, really powerful perk tbh. It's a perk that not only tracks generators that are regressing, but if they don't have Ruin, allows you to track the killer consistently as well.
If they have Ruin, you even get to have info on more generators to compensate.

Its actually a really solid perk for solo players
I can give you a lot of info, more than it first seems.
Which gens are being work on or not, where the killer likely is, which gens require attention, etc.
I would rate it a B

Rookie Spirit i think is very good for soloq and even SWF. Each of the generator perks have different strengths:
Rookie Spirit: all regressing gens across the whole map is revealed to you. Especially helpful with Ruin/Undying nerf. Once Ruin is gone killer has to resort to damaging gens. You can track killer and gens to some degree.
Deja Vu: as a killer its important to secure a 3 gen. Deja Vu destroys that. By breaking up a 3 gen, you increase patrolling distance making it harder for killer to defend. Deja Vu is big brain strategy with endgame in mind, if used correctly.
Visionary: probably the weakest gen perk imo. You get limited information (32m) and its disabled when a gen is complete. It doesn't help you find gens across the map, it doesn't help you avoid the 3 gen, and it disables when you need it to move to next gen.
Detectives Hunch: a great info perk that reveals pretty much everything within 64m. Its a short window, but at least gives you options for your next objective (gen, totem or chest). You can even automatically track using a map

Add the effect to visionary
