Whats the point of the Umbrella badge (nemesis)
Iridescent Umbrella Badge
Survivors are inflicted with the Exposed status effect for 12 seconds when using a Vaccine.
Can someone explain how this is supposed to be used? it seemes pretty weak for an Iri addon. i think its to stop survivors from vacanating right infront of you but usually survivors who do that are injured anyway, plus ur tentacle's a special attack and won't down exposed survivors so there's not alot synergy with his ability and addon.

"pretty weak for an Iri addon" good job my friend you have summed up almost every iri addon.

not all of them. Iridescent stone, bloody coil, Claxcombed clapper, Tuft of hair, Iridescent king and queen, mint rag, mother daughter ring, black incense are all great addons

Its supposed to be a gimmick add on to go with Jill sandwich....except the devs forgot to add "Reveals survivors aura for 12 seconds after using a vaccine".
Because the devs are bad at making addons that synergize with the same character you're using them with.....
So the ultimate answer to your question is.....there is no point....

I can't help but feel like I just got scamed. Atleast ik who to prestige last lmao.

Don't you get Killer Instinct when a Vaccine is used? If you're nearby you can get a quick down if they're in a dead zone

Meme builds.
Spoiler: You'll never get any use out of it. You probably knew that but meh.

That why he said most iri addon are useless and he is right you can take all the iri addon and count the good addon on your finger. Only because most of them have a huge downgrade to your power

You'll probably get a down with it every 80 games this add on sucks ass because there's the possibility of a vaccine being used when injured

tbh since its nerf iri head kinda #########

Just another worthless killer addons.

Twins had the same addon (exposed for 12 seconds after crushing Victor) and it got buffed. No idea how they released this one in this state, especially since nobody uses a vaccine in your face.

There are days where I think the devs have 2 different people specifically hired to make the addons, one guy thinks gimmicks equal usefulness and the other actually knows what would make a killer’s power better/more interesting while making the fact that the changes are strictly on addons justifiable, the listed above are the latter, Umbrella badge is a pretty good case of the former

I agree.
I went over all (modern) addon sets, and there are patterns I've noticed. I think there may be 3 designers that all design addon sets differently, but this is entirely a theory.
Firstly, one favors really oddball addons, with some being the killer's teachables in the form of addons, random yellows and browns that give unique and sometimes useless effects, status effect addons, sometimes terrible Iris, and very few addons that are actually GOOD for the killer (even if the good ones are really good). I'd apply this to Twins, Bubba, Demo, Billy, Freddy, Nurse, and Pig (though pig doesn't have a modern addon set, so you can take her out of this one). I hate this kind of addon set.
Next, it feels like another favors really basic and sometimes unimaginative addons that typically just change up number values, which isn't always a bad thing. These addons, depending on what they affect, can either be really trash, mediocre, or really strong and useful. They typically have brown addons that have yellow, green, and purple variants. This applies to Ghostface, Nemesis, Plague, Spirit, Pyramid, Slinger, Hag, Doctor, Oni, and Legion. I can either hate or love the simplicity of this kind of addon set.
Lastly, there's a sort of mix of the previous two that can lean either way, and they're not very common. This variant of addon set can be pretty strong and full of useful addons. This kind of addon set can have a brown addon that has yellow-green variants, unique browns, some strong number value changing addons, unique Purple addons, and strong Pinks. There's usually a stand-out super-strong addon or two in one of these, as well as a meme addon. IMO, this variant applies to Trickster, Blight, Wraith, Clown, kinda Huntress, somewhat Myers (lacks a modern addon set though, so eh) and kinda Trapper (who could also fit in the previous one).

Ya I noticed almost every killer after the release of oni has got weird addons that constantly need reworks. Personally I like Onis set the best an think he should be used as a standard tbh. His Iri's are basicly 2 free good perks (infectious & nurses) then his purples and greens even tho mostly stat modifiers can change how you use his ability drastically an can be shaped an stacked diffrent ways to make him fit whatever play style u like you can use the lion fang + tenugi to slug em all or topknot + cruch to turn your demon dash into a terrifying weapon.
Basicly I think a gudieline for addons should be made. (But its my own personal opinion its fine to disagree)
Iri's - should be variants of perks
Purples - buff or extend your power considerably
Greens - be a combination of ability modifiers that change how the ability works or stat modifyers that can be stacked w purples or yellows.
Yellows - help with more passive things like ability recovery times or the amount of something you have.
Browns - more beginner or challenge addons that show area of effects or BP bonuses. Although personally I think they should just scrap the challenge perks and just make them BP bonuses with a meme ability like clowns confetti bottle.

Michael Myers still remains some of my favorite add-ons. Lot of useful ones and a few that change how he plays a hit. Scratched Mirror, Tombstone & Infinite Tier 3 allow you to shake things up. So many other Killers just have a bunch of useless add-ons and that the ones meant for a different playstyle or gimmick just don't feel inviting to use (looking at you Demogorgon)

leprose lichen, redheads finger and iridescent pin are also bloodpoints well spent.

As a hard Wraith main, I don't think the coxcombed clapper is all that great. Yeah it makes for some pretty easy setups, but IMO the bone clapper is just as good, which is a yellow. Pair any with The Ghost, which is a brown, and you can do some super fun approaches 🙃

Weird that all of them are from much older killers. Its almost like behavior is incredibly afraid of making a strong killer with strong addons these days
