Old legion? Baby, legion in general only dreams of being able to body survivors this fast.

Nah, not even close, he was far more busted. Trickster is very new player friendly in terms of getting 1 player downed even if you are extremely inefficient.
But as survivors, pallets still stop him, high wall loops render him useless and there's knife decay which is a mechanic so that he can counter himself with his kit. You can do a lot vs him compared to the BS old legion was.

New Trickster is nothing like old Legion.
Old Legion had an autohit ability that downed you after 4 or so hits. No matter what the survivor does Old Legion could follow in a straight line after them
If you vault against trickster he has to slowly vault the window or walk around it. Same for pallets.
Legions progress never went away cause they were constantly on your tail so you couldn't do mending actions.
10 seconds of not getting hit is all it takes to start taking progress away for Trickster.
And if he runs out of knives the chase ends right there. Legion never ran out of power. He didn't need to stop chasing go recharge it.
Not only is the comparison wrong. It's laughably wrong.

Not really... Old Legion's problem was that no matter how skilled the survivor was, the chase was basically on a timer as soon as it started. There really wasnt much difference between chases with good survivors vs bad survivors. Trickster's decay feature though allows for survivors to undo the hits Trickster lands. If a survivor is good enough at delaying hits, they could keep causing the dmg to decay and not take any ACTUAL dmg. While you DO have cases like waste high objects that Trickster can throw over, tall wall jungle gyms have a tendency of denying hits and therefore causing alot of decay. This wasnt a thing for old Legion though who could just chase after you through whatever path you took because they were just plain speedy.

Both are equally annoying, I would say.
The last time I faced Trickster happened to be on Ormond, which translates to the perfect Old Legion experience.
That match was so annoying that I broke my one sacred rule...and DCed.

I still find Old Legion far more infuriating, to be honest. At least Trickster can't instantly vault pallets and has to reload.

No, not even close.
The new Trickster has counterplay, that is being out of line of sight to get rid of your laceration. Old Legion had absolutely ZERO counterplay. Drop a pallet? Get #########. Vault a window? They fast vault it and hit you! Vault a pallet? You guessed it. And don't even get me started on mending.

The only similarity they share is that they both "require" multiple hits with their power to down.
However, there wasn't anything you could realistically do against legion since deep wounds never went away unless you mend and if you try to mend and legion walks up to you, you were basically screwed since mending didn't pause the deep wound timer. Even if Legions weren't moonwalking at you to abuse those mechanics, he can vault pallets and windows after you very quickly meaning there was never a situation in which you could make distance in a chase. Even if Legion missed in Feral Frenzy he would get the lunge distance and could immediately attack again.
Trickster can be defeated with LoS since decay is fast now meaning that unless he can land all his knives in a small window before you reach a LoS blocker, you can actually reset a chase against him. Plus Trickster has to reload his knives and can't get go though windows and pallets meaning there are plenty of opportunities to make distance if you play a tile right.

some of tricksters that I have faced have had grand total of like 2 hooks in 5 gens. Some of them are even red ranks like rank 3 and 2. Even blight players that play like robots with undying+Ruin do better than people that play trickster. I am simply not convinced that Trickster is that newbie friendly.
The good trickster have good aim, it becomes exceptionally easy to deny them any ability to really shoot and they just end up being 110% m1.
