Console can be an advantage.
Just hear me out, I use 100% sensitivity so being 360'd is not an issue with joysticks you get this magical ability to move in between the WASD keys walking in weird angles nobody expects. So I argue since this game is focused more on movement then perssision aim controller players are actually givin the advantage contrary to popular belief. (Exept with some ranged killers)

One advantage you get is being able to jog unless that's possible with keyboards

I play on console and originally played on PC and there's no difference, it's just high sensitivity and making sure the massive hit register grid infront your camera flicks around to register a hit on the spinning guy during the last few frames of the attack, if anything I'd say it takes longer to get the hang of on console but the end result is the same.

The advantage they have is ease of use, it's easier to play survivor/killer on controller but once you master the kb& mouse the advantage goes to the PC player because they have more control over the character, better sensitivity and better frames

there are analog keyboards, but hell if you want one.

And you can hold the stick forward a tiny bit with the run button to jog in place and do a funny cartoon charge up before you run away then watch all the pc players try to do it an fail XP

I agree on the frames but I think controller takes more overall skill to use then K&m, an controller gives you movement options that aren't even possible to do with pc so idk i think the best setup would be a controller on a pc.

Only thing I have to correct you on here is survivor camera usage, you can be good at chases on console eventually but learning chase camera control on sticks is 100x harder than mouse, much like hatchets/nurse etc, all doable and you can get very good but it's like an extra few hundred hours of practice over mouse using players.
Edit: should also mention if the Xbox/PS4 users doesn't have an external SSD drive they play DBD off then they are always disadvantaged by the frames/performance loss and no controller benefit balances that out.

It doesn't and I'll explain why, with a controller you can easily look behind you while getting chased , on PC you have to switch from w to a or d then to s and move your mouse accordingly depending on which way you're heading, on controller the only thing you can do that pc can't is jog in place , PC has more control over the characters when you master it which is why you see pc player moonwalking the map length and console players struggling to do anywhere near as much distance and almost shaking like a seizure when they try, 360s are smoother on PC and more controlled, the sensitivity is double what a console, and playing killer on kb and mouse is more precise in my opinion

I guess everyone is different, I play on PC and PS4 with over 10,000 hours in the game is where my opinion was formed but not everyone is the same just because something feels easy to me or you doesn't mean it is for everyone else

I guess it comes down to personal preference but looking behind you in cahse requires the same kind of camerawork you still have to hold the stick in the opposite direction as the camera. Plus there's speed management like to pull off a juke on console with 100% sensitivity you need to have good control over your camera or you'll move too fast and run into the killer.

eh not really

Ahaha, no

How big of an advantage is that on last gen when you freeze a lot and lose chases? Is it enough to compensate?
And it is not like you can't use controllers on pc.
3 -
Yes, I have noticed alot of tricks are much easier on Controller simply because you don't have to smash 5 inputs at once.
Its not that significant though, and the issues with both the hardware and the bugs with console atm might completely nullify this.

Yea but that's all easy on controller , on pc you have to hit more buttons, you can't just spin your mouse and 360 like you can with a joystick you have to hit four-five different buttons while not over doing your mouse because the sensitivity is higher , but hey we can agree to disagree thats all just from my experiences everyone is different and you might think it's easier to use a kb & m but my next question would be have you ever played this game on pc?

I used to use controller + mouse on pc (left hand on the left side of a PS4 controller, right hand mouse)
But there was an update which meant using that dropped my frames to like 5 fps :(

Well now I know how you got your name because I would totally have an aneurysm if I tried that

Not constantly enough tbh . i won't lie most of my pc experience is through my matches against or with cross play and spectaing so most of its comparing my experience to someone through cross play. Id love to play more pc but there's no cross progress and I have all teachables plus so many unique cosmetics its just not worth it to start over. So your right i probably have a biased opinion.

Console has some slight advantages, but I disagree due to issues like optimization/performance, input lag, etc...
Pc has options for filters, increased brightness, stretched res, etc...
And obviously console is generally always worse for ranged killers, especially trickster.

^This is actually genius I wanna try it with a proper joystick/mouse.
Or a proper steering wheel set up and run around the map making "vroom" sounds over the mic.

Ahaha it sounds terrible and it kinda is but the worst part was holding a whole controller in your left hand. If it was just the left half it would be great, I love the joystick for movement and mouse for precision
I'll try it again at some point to see if the issues have changed but I doubt the game being able to handle multiple inputs is high on their list of priorities

And then your game freezes or crashes.
Enjoy that DC penalty
