A Match With Only 1 Bad Perk: A Hypothetical Situation
Ok, title is a bit odd. But I'm not changing it lol.
Here's the gist of it: say you're loading into a trial, but instead of a full standard 4 perk slots (or 3 if you're going for adept), you are instead forced to run a single ('bad') perk against your will. For my proposed scenario, you're running Monstrous Shrine as Trapper or Clown against the best-of-the-best Survivors out there. What do you do to secure a win?
Remember this is purely hypothetical. Obviously.
Also, leave some similar situations below. A Survivor one would be great; I just can't be bothered engendering one on my own. Little effort here as you can see :)

A lot can be achieved by simply securing a favorable 3 gen.

Trapper with Shrine wouldn’t even be that bad, provided you get basement in the Shack.
You’d have to play in a way some would consider dull, but you didn’t specify that.

I usually only have one perk for most of the game. I been using Lethal so that's gone in 9 seconds, My 2 hexes are gone in first minute, leaving me with the 1 perk I through in there (Surge, pop, etc). Have had the worst maps for hexes the last 2 days....I am a bit frustrated with hexes/maps right now. On top of that the survivors keep running RPD every time I use Blight, Oni, or Billy my luck sucks.

My bad was ranting an forgot to answer you. I would bring Surge or pop and do everything in my power to force a 3 gen, eliminate the weak link, Slug when feasible and pray for the best.

Funny enough, I cleansed noed before the killler got much value on it in rpd. in 10 seconds I found it at the main hall gate.

I rarely and I truly mean rarely run Noed. I had a Doc ritual last night and he is around level 30 and only had 15 perks. I ran Distressing, Coulrophobia, Overwhelming, and Noed. Best build I could form IMO and didn't do to bad hook wise but they were all alive when the 5th gen popped and I was able to down 3 of them and the 4th cleansed noed. I killed the Yun-Jin because she was annoying to me, opened the gate and let Ace (the 4th) heal the other 2 and leave. Got my ritual which is what I came for but had flashbacks of my beginning days where noed could destroy a team. I think I caught them off-guard considering I was rank 1 but had Noed lol but my perks were terrible so I ran it. Prolly should have just went for adept and tried harder but to late now. As for RPD I just despise this map as killer and don't like it much as survivor either but tolerable.

I ran only Self Preservation for a few matches 2 days ago because a day earlier me and 2 friends played build randomizer and I got Self Preservation 6 times over the course of our session xD.
The day after I played only with this 1 Perk, hoping the curse might vanish.

I actually included Trapper because I always think of that classic Trapper-shack 'build' whereby you run Agitation, Brutal Strength, Monstrous, and something like Shadowborn (if you recall such combinatios). Definitely not horrible -- even given that the perks I mentioned aren't the greatest together -- but also rather bland.

Strat would be the same with just Monstrous as it is with just Pop. Neither would turn out great as so far MMR thinks all my killers should play in high level tourneys.

Hm…if I’m playing trapper or clown, I’d lose no matter what since I’m not very good with them. If I could choose a killer, then Oni would be my go-to. I could sacrifice BBQ for Monstrous Shrine, and I could still generate pressure
