IF BEHAVIOUR LEFT IT UP TO YOU, WHAT NEW MAP WOULD YOU MAKE?

A bit yeah but admittedly at the moment I'm working on an interactive VR experience with inspirations from PT and other old horror icons. However I'm totally willing to drop my spare time into DBD if they ever add mod support. I even have a design doc ready for if that special day ever happens.

Space station (An indoor map but completely different in scale. Only a few small corridors, but mostly big rooms with glass on the side where you can see outside)
Summer camp (Next to a lake, with different gravel paths around the forest)
Jungle map
3 -
If you have Twitter, made you should tag them in a post about that.

The space views sound sweet.
Love the summer camp idea. Just like Jason.
Can you imagine Wraith on a Jungle Map? Predator vibes.

I doubt they'll move mountains for one person I prefer surprising the majority of the community if they make the tools available to everyone. There's a lot of talented people in the community too who make audio and art to an extent it disappoints me the most they enable is the community cosmetic concept contest. It's better than nothing though.

No, definitely won't. But I was meaning more if you tagged them in a post and it gained traction. In essence, you getting the ball rolling to put the idea on their radar.

The only hope of mod support getting traction is if a bunch of big community members pushed for it really hard and forced BHVR's hand. Thing is most of the big community members don't even dabble in that kind of stuff if I recall aside from I think Scott Jund but I just recall him having experience in Unreal Engine I think?
I've wanted mod support since 2016 being perfectly honest I saw so much potential in this game. I know there's a small handful of people who want it too but we're such a minority in this community that it isn't worth BHVR's time. They won't even fully support custom icons for example so it feels like a fever dream for them to go up to custom map support.

I want a map in the Red forrest realm for Blight, 17th Century Port of Marseille or Graveyard map in the Crotus Prenn realm for Twins and a Neon city outdoor on the ground floor and indoor as underground for Trickster :D
2 -
I always thought catacombs like the ones under Paris would be kinda cool... of course you would need bigger rooms and hallways, but I think this could be really cool.
Maybe a Plane/zeppelin crashsite from ww-era could be cool, where you got this huge-ass crash as main structure and the trenches on the sides...

something underwater or in a cave, had a dream once about a cave map being in dbd and it looked cool

a map containing non-euclidiean space would be nice, and very eldritch.

more silent hill please. I wouldnt mind like 10 locations from just the first 3 games. Treasure trove of horror there. More specifically. A city map of different blocks would be cool. They could add variations of either dimension. Others I would consider are the apartments from 2, brookhaven and alchemilla hospitals, the theme park, the mall from 3, the prison from 2. I'd even take locations from 4 downpour and homecoming. Even if Downpour and Homecoming are considered bad theres no denying the uniqueness of some of their locations.
Same for RE but im waaaay more into the idea of getting silent hill maps

a city map, a street map or an alleys map.

I want map for blight, trickster and twins. And all outdoor and nice looking.
Really fed up with current maps, we need more variety already
2 -
I would go for an ugly generic realm similar to macmillan/azarov/etc. with several simple maps mainly consisting of standard tiles + unique main building.

Okay imagine this: a ship level.
It's a large cruise ship stuck on a beach. The beach has a hut (the shack) and out in the sea there's a couple of floating buildings all connected by pontoon bridges but be careful on them because they may sink at random intervals.
If you run into or fall into the water you start to drown and can try to swim back to shore, be saved by another survivor, or be pushed down by the killer (who does not drown). If you're drowned by the killer you get transported to a nearby hook, if you're saved by the survivors or yourself you're home free and your drowning meter slowly resets.
Environmental hazards bhvr I am begging you

An old medieval abandoned haunted snowy village. Kinda like the village in re8.
0 -
I just want Woodsboro and Sidney Prescott
As well as maps for Blight, Twins and Trickster
Give us the Alchemist's Lab, a French Village and a Neon City
2 -
COOL! To build on it:
There could be added new items just for this map, floating devices that survivors can throw towards each other to stop the drowning meter. There should just be 4 of them though and 1 time use only.
For the environmental hazards, I think the game would collapse haha

I actually thought of a prison map, and I still want them to try to do it. In my mind though, it would be indoor/outdoor, modeled loosely off of Alcatraz. So you're on an island, and the main building is the prison, but there's also outside areas and the gates could be a doc to get to a boat. Creepy shower areas, looping around cafeteria tables, hidden passageways like for prisoner escapes (possibly designed like the breakable ways in the bathroom at Midwich . . . If they focused on functionality first, then the aesthetics, it could really be incredible. Especially with a hazy, foggy border because of the water.
Your other ideas were cool, too. I agree, sometimes aesthetically a map is amazing, but the functionality is completely unbalanced. I'm an optimist though, so if I hear a really cool idea, I want to figure out how to make it work.

All good ideas 👍

I've been to the catacombs in Rome. Very unsettling, and if they somehow expanded it like you said, it could be a cool map.

I'd have to really think that over, but on first read, that sounded really cool. And creative. 👍

If i had my way the next killer would be a Xenomorph with the map being the prison the are on in Alien 3

An Arcade Map.
3 Floors
Small-Medium Size
A lot of unsafe loops but with tons of mindgame potential.
1 God Pallet
The killer basement is actually the whole basement of the Arcade.
Totems can spawn in that basement.

What I personally would like:
- A cemetery
- Mine/Cave map (can also be the MacMillan mines with a Miner as Killer, a Survivor from the Mine disaster.)
- A Castle on a mountain.
- Maybe a big grocery store? (with flickering lights, creepy store Music and a some guy with a butcher knife from the meat department.)
some ideas.

I would make an giant abandon mall. It would be split into 2 maps. The first would be giant underground car parking lot. The second map would be two floor inside mall with stores.
Another cool map idea would be a Casino with like disco dance floor. 2 floors. I think it would be cool idea if it looked like what they showed during trickster lobby screen.

A theatre or Opera House.

thank that is very kind of you <3

Good ideas. I really like the mine idea. As long as the devs focused first on functionality, then the aesthetics of that would be really cool.

I could see the costume and/or prop room being really cool, and the stage could have a gen and/or a hook. The exit gates could be front entrance and back alley.
1 -
I can definitely imagine Wraith on there.
Even better tho? Predator as a killer released along side the map. ;)
1 -
- A supermarket for GF, the one in the trailer
- Old Victorian castle for Blight
- 17th century french village for Twins

Agreed! I think if they do more silent hill they'll do just like Midwich, like as if the map would be between the fog world and the otherworld instead of choosing just one or doing variations. My favorite picks would be Lakeside, the mall, and Woodside apartments, it would also be pretty cool to just have the streets as a map.

I can guarantee you one thing. I would not design an indoor map.
Probably something like a cemetery with Bloodborne vibes.

I like all the current maps, but I'd re-zone existing maps and add a second map for every currently existing zone that has both a killer and survivor in their respective chapter
Give clown his own zone and remove his clown ######### from nurses map.
Add Ghost face zone and maybe only one map for him until we get a proper scream chapter
Give twins, trickster and blight their own zones and two maps each; so many neon skins lately but no neon maps?
Every licensed zone gets a second map of unique design
Give Bill and Ash each zone and a single new map
Give cannibal a zone and a single new map
Re zoning existing maps is needed to balance map offerings/distribution.

Tony Montana's mansion.
Pelican FLY!!!!

I would make an alternate version of Ironworks of Misery, corrupted by pustula flowers with plenty of orange glow on the ground, hooks, etc. (Blight map)

I too would love a Prison map and another Silent Hill map.
For Silent Hill, there are SO MANY areas I would love to have in DBD. The apartments or hotel from 2, the mall from 3, The original outdoor area from 1, fog AND nightmare version for any map chosen. Though...I might be the only one who wants this, but......I kind of want Nowhere from Silent Hill 1 as a map. Considering what Nowhere is, the devs could Possibly make their own unique version of the map and it would still make sense for both games.
Also, I don't ever see it mentioned but...I want a Jurassic Park map. I would love to see the exit gates being the iconic gates from Jurassic Park.
1 -
I would love to face Predator. The mori would be amazing. His cloaking ability would basically be like Wraith, but both Mikey and Ghosty Boy are stealthy so I don't care about that.

Never heard of a Jurassic Map-type park. Maybe the Killer would be a mad scientist who kept wanting to push the genetic experiments too far, and eventually, he snapped.

i think even foggy midwich would be neat
