Excuse me, but why am I being matched up with the same killer in a row?
Is DBD that desperate for players that I need to be matched up with the same killer for two games in a row?
He only brought the most OP addons & offereings (for both matches, yes) and camped + tunneled the entire game.
Either add the option to prevent from seeing the player like Overwatch or at least have a better match system thank you very much.

it happens.

Likely falls in the same category as getting the same map to play on 4-5 times in a row. Happens, as to why it does...?

Wow, it's pretty crazy that the chances of you being matched with someone who just ended the previous game and likely started queuing up for a new one at the same time you as is pretty high!

You can also just block them. Greatly decreases the chances you will be paired up with them again.

Blocking prevents them sending you a friend request, nothing more.

I beg to differ. I usually don't get matched again with people I've blocked.

Sometimes it happens. I usually see it as Karma round.
Survivors being cocky and BM during the last match? Oh what a coincidence, let me bring my best addons/mori.

This is purely due to how many people play the game. I rarely if ever play the same person again and I never block anyone. The devs/mods have said it does nothing to prevent you from getting them again. You are just experiencing a placebo effect.

I don't get matched against people who I haven't blocked again either. Correlation doesn't equal causation.

Even if that's true, it satisfies me to block them anyway.

This will show them...

More like, since MMR is active for à test, he was probably the only killer available or the closest killer (or both) from your own MMR score
Many people said this happened to them

It satisfy me when someone blocked over something that they feel isn't right.

Happened to me once with a rank 2 Stridor spirit (that was before the recent changes affecting Stridor) and it was an extremely interesting experience (also in the light of the MMR debate).
The first game the Spirit got a 4k, though I considered it underserved because she wasn't good at all, she had absolutely no idea how to properly run the various structures. The last four gens were super close together in a corner of the map, and my teammates desperately tried to fix the gen that would leave the last three gens closest together. I tried to get as much space as possible between the last three, but couldn't finish the gen, because when they were chased by the Spirit, they would always run into the corner where all the remaining gens were rather than the rest of the map and were downed and hooked there, so the Spirit always had four gens and the hook in the same small part of the map.
Right the next match, same Spirit. That time that Spirit was struggling to get a total of three hooks during the game and finally got a pity kill with face camping and tunnelling (unfortunately someone unhooked without BT, I had it and was right there, I hoped the other person would just fake the unhook so that I could do it).
How this experience relates to MMR, well besides it being questionable whether a killer who is this horribly bad at chasing survivors should be rank 2, in the first game my teammates were all red ranks, in the second game the highest ranked of my teammates were green rank and the guy who ran the Spirit the longest time was a rank 18 Jake with a completely useless tier 1 Iron Will (because of Stridor) as his single perk.

if you were playing at night, or such. the traffic for killers that are ready might be low. so as to how you got the same person twice

That's just a coincidence. The devs stated that it doesn't work like that because it would create problems.

Your MMR level is around their level.

Well, how do I prevent them from being in my matches then?
0 -
Why would that even an option

To block players?

To prevent players from showing up in matches simply because you blocked them, that just sounds highly abusable
(this is slightly ironic because im pretty sure that system used to exist and was abused to extensive levels so people could just block good players for easy matches)

The most simple fix is using two common keyboard keys at the same time
| Alt F4
You never have to worry about being matched with players you do not like.

I just want to block killers that deliberately tunnel (me) to death.

The people commenting that its due to MMR/SBMM - uhhh that's not live yet.
MMR/SBMM is not active nor being tested at the moment - it goes live tomorrow.

Its not gonna happen you might need to bring perks to help mitigate it

That's just confirmation bias. It has no impact. Its just less likely to happen now because of crossplay. If you have crossplay off, your chances are higher because its less people.

I do, lol. I usually just deal with it since it can't be stopped, the blocking that is.
