Why do people hate tunneling?
Real question. Isn't my objective to eliminate players when I'm on killer?

Yes, it is. Does that mean the survivor should enjoy earning 2k after burning a Sacrificial Cake, just because they were found and targeted first?

People dont like not being able to play more than anything, tunneling causes that to happen, specially if the target isnt that good at looping (or the killer is too strong on 1vs1)
When you get tunneled, specially early on, you get almost no points unless you loop the killer for ages, which is hard when youre injured and likely close to him when unhooked.

I don't recall signing up to be on the survivor's team if I'm on killer. And yes, I have. I think rank 4 is enough to understand.
I guess the solution is don't be seen?

Those games are exactly why I feel the way I do. If I agree that friends should be allowed to have fun at one players' expense (how dare BHVR let people have fun!!1!11!!) then why does it not work both ways?

No, your objective is to squeeze as much crushed hope and suffering as possible from each survivor for the entertainment of the entity which is why she docks your pay if you don't put a lot of effort into extracting as much as possible from each survivor and just outright murder them.

Gen tunneling is also a thing and don't say its not because when I kick a gen at 75% you guys don't go find a new gen to work on to be nice to the killer

Most of the survivor say that the thing they like the most is the interaction with the killer. Tunneling make sure you have that interaction all match so why ahould a survivor get mad for that

Play how you want.
As Otz said in his POV video, 3 hooking everyone in a rotation is generally a bad move, while eliminating someone ASAP is the fastest way to gain an advantage.

It's okay to play how you want, but it's okay to hate what you hate.
I hate tunneling, but sometimes I have to do it, and most killers will realize that they need to do it in certain games. It's also annoying when I get tunneled, but if I get tunneled to death, I just accept it and move onto the next game. I usually run DS so meh.
In short, it's a necessary evil for this game.

Its a byproduct of gen speed to be honest I think there needs to be another objective to slow it down a little because increasing gen times is not the way to go

NOED is for when I have a challenge that requires a sacrifice and I want it done first try or in the fewest games possible. And it works quite well. Very easy kills.

For the same reason killers hate having 5 gens done in 5 minutes and no hooks its almost like you didn't get to play. But it is a pvp game after all lol

"Don't be seen" is kinda hard now days when almost every killer is running lethal pursuer and you are the unlucky soul to spawn closest to them. Which is usually me. I'm just unlucky lol

Absolutely. I get frustrated when I play survivor I get frustrated when I get tunneled but I move on to the next. I am a killer main and I don't tunnel unless I have to like they are at 2 gens left and someone has to go and who ever I find first is it

The emblem system dictates pips and BP gains. Not if I win. That's like saying having gold medals in Overwatch means you're carrying.

There is no set win condition. Players determine their own win conditions, whether that be escapes, kills, Bloodpoints, pips, BBQ stacks, WGLF stacks...
The end screen that says "Entity Displeased" vs "Merciless Killer" is the closest thing to telling a player whether they won or lost, and that's determined by the emblem system.

I'm not disagreeing with you i go for at least a 3k to call it a win and don't really care about emblems but some people belive you should milk it like the emblem system wants when its not always and option

Good matchmaking, in the opinion of Komrad_Karnage, the killer is always going to get a few hooks that they can leverage into a camp/tunnel situation. In SonicOffline's opinion, good matchmaking makes the killer work for his food, and the survivors actually have to deal with pressure appropriate for their skillset as a player.
Also, let's not ignore the hatch. It's based of the killer's skill as much as it is the survivor's. I can spawn under your feet, or under theirs. Or around the corner form you, or them. Or across the map from you, or them. It's 100% RNG and is not ignorable just because it's uncontrollable. It's still part of the game.

Tunneling is completely fine; it's a part of the game.
However, it's also completely understandable why survivors dislike being tunneled. I mean, they get like barely any points, de-pip, and hardly even get to play the game. Why wouldn't they hate it?

Okay. That's fine. Everyone has their own win conditions.
But you'll find some survivors will be unhappy because they don't find your way of winning fun for them. Their way of winning might not be fun for you, either.
Right now, with the tomes, my win condition is "did I get this challenge done?" For example, is it fun for the survivors to watch me walk around and break walls and kick gens? Probably not (unless all they want to do is work on gens), but that's my win condition I'm working towards.

I'm someone who plays both sides. As a Survivor, being tunneled is an unpleasant experience. As a a Killer, tunneling is a completely reasonable tactic.

Survivors make noise when injured, leave blood, scratch marks, etc. It's not that easy to lose the killer if he has eyes. lol

Easy, because it's not fun to be immediately taken out the game just because you might have gotten an unlucky spawn, or got caught at one bad spot. Tunneling someone out of the game makes it so that player has very minimal chances of playing (as there is no counter to tunneling), will be lucky to hit 8k BP (And reminder, Survivors don't get as much BP as Killers do already, so it's just salt in the wound.) and can make the game extremely easy against most players. Tunneling someone out of the game when you're versing a SoloQ team will pretty much always guarantee it's going to be a 4k or 3k, with the 3k only being with hatch due to the lack of coordination. This is the same for duo queues and even casual 3 mans. (Sometimes even casual 4mans, bc not all 4 mans play with Comms!)
Tunneling is a necessary evil, because there are games against Survivors where you do have to tunnel and all (Like being put against a really good SWF where that is literally your best option to get Kills), but in a similar vain to camping, it's a strat that can easily become too overbaring against most Survivor groups while being easy to pull off.
As for your counterpoint OP, where 4mans with BNP gen rush at another player's expense and wondering why it doesn't go both ways- it does. You reap what you sow. If you tunnel every game, why would survivors want to do anything else but bring second-chance meta perks and BNPs in a 4 man? At least then they're guranteed a better chance of getting someone out. It's a cycle, and just like those games of 4 mans with 10 DS+UB with BT, DH and BNP make you feel like you should be running 4 gen regression perks and camp/tunnel, getting tunneled out of an average game against a Killer with hard slowdown build makes you feel like you should be running more second-chance perks and just genrush instead of other side objectives.
I'm an advocate for playing how you want, but just realise it is a two-way street.

I never said it was easy, but once you learn how to walk to leave no scratch marks, crouch to make less noise, how long it takes for your blood to disappear etc. Tunnelling becomes less of a problem

Because a sometimes 10min que time, followed by a min of loading, only to not be able to do anything at all because of a single mistake is not fun. Sometimes you're just unlucky and boom, another 10mins of waiting.
Survivors don't need you on their side, they just prefer it if you're not a dick and let them play. (if they're ######### anyway, and you can easily get them, then you don't need to tunnel)

Well seems like you are not very smart so let me explain you.
Tunnelling means that you focus on one particular player and chase him no matter what just to kill him. So out of 5 players you ruin game for 2 - the chased one and yourself.
On higher ranks... no wait... with experienced survivors it means we do gens in like 3-5min and game is done. You are left with displeasef entity and the one loses pip aswel.
only terrible players think its a recipe to win.
now, the tunneled one can loop you till the end or just be hooked within 15sec depending on map and skill

Because despite claiming that the chase is the fun part of the game, what people want is to be chased so that it benefits them. No "tunneling" (which is really defined as "being chased at any point during the trial in such a way that it makes me lose (die)"), no "camping", nothing that could actually have a chance at making them lose.

It doesn't bother me. If I were saving you from hook you would have endurance, chainsaw, knife, it doesn't matter, you would most likely be injured and going down anyway.
Literally, if you're moaning about tunnelling then you obviously need to get better at escaping.
