Chapter Idea: The Spider
Killer: The Spider.
(image is just for reference)
Name: Ava
Age: 29
Gender: female
Hair Colour: White
Eye colour: Red
Power: Web
Weapon: Hands.
Speed: 115%
Terror radius: 32 m.
Origin: Australia.
Background:
Ava became fascinated by spiders at a young age, when she fell down into a dusty old basement at her grandparents' house. Down There she found a bunch of spiders living inside the basement and rather than being scared of them she would shine a flashlight over them to have a closer look. Since then she became obsessed with capturing and keeping some rare and deadly spider species from the native forests of australia.
She then would proceed with a degree in biology and during her presentation for her thesis which was themed after spiders and their deadly venoms, one particular pharmaceutical company took interest in her thesis and after she graduated from the degree, the company would call her up for a job offer.
The company showed her the project that she was going to lead. The intention was to find cures for some of the rare species of spiders that still roam free and are a danger for people that live near their habitats. Without thinking twice she would agree to the dream job.
Little did she know that this company was using humans as their test subjects, she was forced to inject these humans with spiders' venom to test if the antidotes she and her group made can actually work against the venom.
Guilt and sorrow would gradually fill her up. One night after months of working in the lab,she would stay late at work. Once the other workers had left the lab, she would pour gasoline over the floor and burn the lab down with her as she would free the spiders from their prison in hopes for them to escape, but as the fire started to rise up, the spiders would crawl and climb towards her and slowly cover her up with their webs trapping her inside the cocoon as she was trying to break free while the cloud of mist would start to fill the room and eventually swallow the cocoon with her in it.
(All pictures are just for reference. I picked this picture because it leaves a lot of it up to interpretation. I picture a humanoid spider, but her face would be half spider looks/half human, to make a really creepy vibe)
Killer Powers:
Power: Web.
The spider is able to place shreds of spider web in certain places ( I'm thinking pallets, windows, lockers, gens). She can only place a maximum amount of web shreds across the map, placing more will make the first ones decay instantly ( think executioner with his trails of judgement). webs will decay over time.
if a survivor interacts with something that is webbed, they fill up a web meter. If that meter is full, the spider is able to cocoon them once they are downed. The cocoon state will act as an additional cleansing state survivors need to get rid of.
A cocooned survivor can be left on the floor which forces survivors to break the cocoon first before being able to heal their fellow survivor. The bleedout timer is stopped during the cocoon phase and the cocooned survivor can struggle to progress the bar to freedom up to 50% via skillchecks. Once they are freed they enter a dying state, but with 90% progress on healing done.
If a cocooned survivor gets hooked, fellow survivors will first have to get rid of the cocoon before they are able to free the survivor off the hook. Hook timer is slowed and the cocoon bar is faster to fill from 0 to 100 than the one if the survivor is left cocooned on the ground. Self unhook attempts will successfully fill the progress bar for the cocoon but also decrease the hook timer. there is a small chance that a survivor can unhook themselves while cocooned, but very rare. In a cocooned state, a survivor is able to try and unhook himself 6 times. ( slippery meat increases the chances).
additionally, if spider lady spends the extra amount of web shreds on one object in particular ( I'm thinking 100 web shreds is her maximum, 10 are needed for this one), she is able to also place spiderlings on that object which will stay longer than web shreds, but when interacted with they activate a poisoned meter. a poison meter decreases slower than the web meter, but if a survivor interacts with too many spiderling objects they'll get injured by 1 health state.
spiderlings cannot be placed on gens
and the value can be argued about
this way, spider lady has a power that includes hazardous effects as well as global trapping pressure
(Survivors on hook can be freed instantly in normal fashion if the Spider is nearby. This is to prevent camping, and to promote the killer to go chase others. An auditory warning will happen to ensure the killer is aware of this proximity)
(If two cocooned survivors are near eachother, they can fill the bar to 99,9%. This is just an ensured way so the game doesn't turn into a big slug fest. Additionally they may be teleported to another location if the spider is just moving over them for too long. This is only the case if multiple are cocooned and in nearby proximity. The cocoons should not be efficient strategy to killing them, but rather to put them under a lot of pressure)
(if the spider attempts to cocoon a third survivor, before any of the others are hooked or saved, the other cocoons will be able to be broken by those captured without any rescuers help. To ensure the game can't be locked down)
Mori: The Spider wraps her web around the survivors limbs, and begins eating into the survivors stomach, together with smaller spiders, while the survivor struggles and screams.

Killer Perks:
1. Quick to the chase:
After kicking a generator, you gain a sprint boost for 3/4/5 seconds. The kicking animation is also sped up by 5%.
2. Locked:
The Entity will block a survivor in a locker with its roots for 5/6/7 seconds. Survivors locked in a locker will make knocking sounds to indicate the killer of their presence in there.
3. Rekindling the flame:
When a survivor gets hooked for a second time, one previously destroyed random hex-totem will be re-lit. Only a maximum of 2 totems can be relit. All survivors will recieve an auditory warning, and know the perk is in use.
Stacks previously gained from totems will not return. So no devour hope, unless you hook them again.
Receive a hooking speed boost by 1%/2%/3% faster.

New survivor:
Name: Blake
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Hair Colour: Brown
Eye colour: Hazel
Origin: Belgium
Background:
Blake began his journey of mountain climbing when he and his best friend went on a dare trip to climb the Grand Paradiso mountain. It took them two days and one night to reach the top of the mountain and since then he was hooked.
After three years of climbing some of the highest mountains in Europe, he finally got the desire and courage to climb Mount Everest. He booked a schedule to scale the mountain and he planned to climb it alone.
Two weeks into his journey in climbing mount Everest he would bump into a group of other climbers who decided to go down the mountain. There had been news of an upcoming storm, but despite the warnings he decided to push through ignoring the weather warning.
Another week has gone by as he met with more groups of climbers who went the opposite way of him, climbing down the mountain to avoid the harsh weather as he kept persevering to climb the mountain. Within a few days the harsh weather would come wrecking through the mountain path as Blake found a cave to keep himself warm and to wait until the weather stopped, little did he know that the storm would last for a week. The longer he stayed in the cave the more he realized his wait was futile as he finally got up and started climbing the mountain despite the harsh weather.
The storm got worse, as he struggled with each step ascending the mountain more and more. Snow covering his body from top to toe. Suddenly he would start slipping, and began falling into the darkness behind him, but a cloud of mist would grab him just as he closed his eyes, shivering through the cold as he got engulfed by the mist.
Survivor Perks:
1. Eyes on you:
Breaking a totem makes a reveal zone, that shows the aura of your friends in a proximity of 7/10/15 meters. Totems broken by friends, does not count as reveal zones.
2. Bullet proof:
Crouching at the exact right moment will ignore any killer ability. Has a cooldown of 5 minutes. Can still be hit by m1, or any other normal attacks.
A bit similar to dead hard. Except you get no forward momentum, so its probably very rare it will be useful, except for maybe against a huntress? But you will remain stationary, so I can't imagine its too overpowered. Its a case of good on rare occassions, completely useless at other times, type perk.
3. Helping hand:
You are able to place a small trail of sharp objects. Any killer walking over the trail will be slowed down by 5/10/15%. The trail fades away afterwards. Can only be used once.

Not a bad concept. Several of the perks could use some fine-tuning, but I appreciate your creativity with The Spider's power and visual design.

yeah, admittedly not all perks are the greatest. I've made so many chapter concepts, so some of them come out a bit ehhh, in the perk department, but it is fun to try anyway with making these.

I know the struggle lol. I just uploaded my concept Warframe paragraph last night. Took me an extra week almost to come up with viable perks. Give it a look if you have the time 👍

That's incredibly detailed! Well done for creating the whole concept and probably giving me nightmares :) (am arachnaphobic)

Oh my, I apologise. I too am a bit afraid of spiders, maybe not arachnaphobic, but yeah! Thankfully its a bit more humanoid, which I imagine helps 😊
