Should there be less focus on killing/sacrificing?
See nobody likes camping or tunneling, and killers are also not a fan of hooking someone during the EGC and then just camping them because...what else are you going to do?
Often when a match goes poorly a killer will just resort to camping and tunneling because "one kill is better then nothing".
So here is my point, (yes I know we have to be careful with changes like this) should the game not lay on far less emphasis on the sacrificing/killing part and far more on the hunting down and hitting part?
so that as a killer its fine to not get a 4k or even any kills as long as you had a lot of chases that you preformed well in and lots of hits etc and all around pressure keeping gens from going too fast.
I think that MIGHT just make the game a bit more enjoyable all around.

No.

To me, that's just sidestepping the issue as opposed to tackling it head-on. You don't solve a problem by changing the game to warp it around said problem. You solve the problem by actually fixing it.

Here's an idea: There should also be less focus on doing generators and opening exit gates. Survivors should care more about the running away and not getting hit part. It's fine if you don't escape or not get hooked as long as you escaped a lot of chases and performed well in not getting hit often and keeping up pressure by healing your teammates.

No. Its called the killer.

just elaborate man, dont be so unintelligent.
ermm what issue is being sidestepped here? already the game rewards the parts of gameplay I mentioned, im just saying putting more emphasis on one thing over the other, but again, what are you thinking about here, what is the issue and how is it being side stepped and how do you solve it by actually fixing it?
Im at a loss for words, somehow you read this as a killer nerf or so and you want to turn this into a "us vs them" debate by just nonsensically thinking you can mirror this? you do realise this is about making killer matches more fun and less punishing/stressful right?

The issue of camping/tunneling? You're sidestepping it by changing the rest of the game to allow the problem to exist.

Well no, its the issue of stress on the killer to get kills at the cost of anything else, a killer does not feel like they are achieving anything in a chase, its just about kills so when you dont get those or get robbed by some perk, its a very unfun experience.
If we emphasize the chase more then the sacrificing it would be a more fun experience for EVERYONE involved.
Sure but why do players think this? its because of the game making such a big deal over it and hammering you over the head with it, if everyone escapes its "entity displeased" which I think could and should be adressed.
If the game makes it very clear its not about sacrificing but about winning chases and hooking then that is fine.
See it more like a capture the flag gamemode, you grab the flag, frantically fight your way through the enemy team, bring it back and then what? you just stand there? NO you run out straight away again to get another flag, thats more how DBD should be, hook and go go go, get the next hook, go go go, that would be more fun for all involved.

Well then it seems you are not really the target for this debate because it would not affect you either way.

I don't see how making less focused on killing be good for the game. People just need to stop taking getting removed from the game by the role whose job it is to remove you as personal attacks.

All you're doing then is changing the thing to stress out about, not actually making it less stressful.

did you read what I typed? this is more about hte killer experience then the survivor experience......

Just pointing out that the point of the game is to sacrifice and kill the Survivors. Its the Killer's objective. This isn't an Us vs Them so much as this is the point of the game. Rewarding the act of trying to catch and sacrifice? Sorry, most people don't like/straight up hate participation trophies. You either did your objective or didn't.

yeah that is the point of the game and im saying we should change hte point of the game.....then its not a participation trophy, it IS the trophy, we should reward fast chases and many different hooks over sacrificing (see it as a build in BBQ) and killing a single survivor by camping etc should barely be rewarded at all, its about changing the focus/requirements.
Again Im doing this more for the killer experience then survivor, you should read the original post again for the scenarios that are not fun for anyone involved,
Thats what im trying to change, the focus on getting a kill is what makes it so frustrating for again...everyone involved.
