BMing a hooked survivor... for fun I guess. Teach me the counterplay please
full disclosure, I am not the best, but I like to think I'm at least pretty competent at the game. I don't see BMing very often, but when I do it seems to always be in red ranks and purple ranks. I cannot understand how or why you would BM the person on the hook if the only reason they are on the hook is because you ignored three other healthy people running in front of you for several minutes just to down the injured one and face camp the hook for all three stages. (shout out to my teammates for trying to help instead of gen rushing and leaving me to die, I'm sorry you didn't get out) I've had three games back to back where this happened now. two of the killers were console, but the one who was pc defended himself in post chat by saying I deserved it because I wasn't good enough to stop him. So if we assume pc man is correct, how can I be better? How can I improve my survivor skills to contend and counter being tunnelled the entire game regardless of how many other bodies offer themselves up and face camped on the hook? If anyone knows the counterplay I would love to learn it so I can maybe be good enough next time and not depip.

Honestly, the best way to avoid those kinds of killer players is to rank up. Facecamping and tunneling exists a LOT in lower ranks because that's the most comfortable way to get kills for less skilled killers, and less skilled survivors don't have enough coordination or experience to counter these tactics.
Obviously though, being unable to pip throws a spanner in that plan. In matches where you're being tunneled/facecamped, what helps me is just changing your mental win condition - if you're being hard tunneled or facecamped, you're unlikely to escape, so wasting as much of the killer's time as possible and (if they're BMing you and REALLY tunneling, including hits off hook and ignoring other survivors right in front of them) teabagging them to make sure they're regretting doing this hardcore tunneling. It's the one scenario in this whole game where I will gladly teabag the killer in an insulting way.
