About Cross Progression...
It's been about a year since Cross Progression was implemented/announced and was wondering if there was any news on Console to PC and vice versa. Also, is it too hard to implement Xbox Play Anywhere? DBD is already on the Microsoft store so would it be difficult to just add Xbox Play Anywhere to the Windows Version? I don't know, I feel like Behaviour should be a bit more transparent on why they can't / don't want to add Cross Progression between consoles and pc. Also, wasn't switch supposed to have Cross Progression, what happened to that; it was apparently "coming in the near future" back in March.

No news on console cross progression, Switch Cross Progression is still coming but no date. I agree about the transparency thing on more than just the cross progression tbh.

Yeah, I would love a live Q&A with the Devs or something along those lines. Maybe even just a reporter that can be the bridge between the community and the devs.

Xbox and Playstation have no word on cross progression. The most yall have is between consoles. Playstation is known for being difficult to budge when it comes to allowing cross progression, reason being that they don't want to encourage, in any way, the possibility of someone leaving their platform for another one.
I don't see why there couldn't be cross platform progression between Xbox and Windows Store, however. They ARE the same company, in that case!
For Switch, no answers there. It's been Coming Soon™️ for nearly a year at this point. Apparently the BHVR account linking web page is suddenly back up as of today, though, so perhaps that's a sign of things in the works for real now?

The website does have mentions of Nintendo Switch now in its FAQ and details, so maybe it's nearly ready and will be coming out with the chapter update or very soon in the future, but you can't link accounts yet.

I would love for this to be a thing. With the recent announcement of Stranger Things leaving (but getting to keep your purchases) and the Steam announcement of Steam Deck for next year. I'd love to just be able to switch over from my PS4 to Steam and just pick up where I left off progression-wise.

We have said many times on this platform that cross progressions is only available between Steam & Stadia. We also advised on our Twitter that the cross progression with Switch was delayed whilst some further issues needed ironing out.
We're aware that the Community wishes cross progression between other platforms and this is something that we will continue to work towards - however, we have no guarantees that this will happen. That's as transparent as anyone is able to be with regards to these things.

In a way, it is transparent but we would love to have the reason as to WHY Microsoft or Sony won't, personnaly, I do believe the Microsoft would be alright with Cross-Progression

many other games are still allowing crossprogression between all platforms, like fortnite, why not dbd?

I don't think they can do that, if they were negotiating and a dev/mod came here and said "we want crossprogresion but Sony is being difficult", it would look pretty bad for them and probably ruin their chances.

I may be able to answer this one
So, during the whole Apple vs Epic debauche they had to show some legal contracts, and in them it was revealed that Epic pays Microsoft and Sony the equivalent of what is purchased on another device which has the progress linked to that device. For example, if I buy some VBucks on Switch, on an account linked to my PC, PS4, and Xbox, then Microsoft and Sony take profit too based upon what was sold. Perhaps the rates were too high for BHVR, or they simply didn't want to pay those rates, and so they couldn't reach an agreement.

Thanks then!
