The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

Would an underwater killer work?
For example, some creature from the black lagoon type killer with a map-pool (hah!) that would have flooded areas.
Also, how would this killer handle non-flooded maps. would it be possible to restrict what maps they could spawn on and introduce flooded versions of certain maps (e.g. swamp, coldwind etc)?
would that work?

I can see a nautical themed killer working. For example, Im a fan of the Fog. But it might be difficult to go full underwater with it. Maybe if you flooded every stage to like, waist level.

mhnnn.... Glenvale for example, is a desert so that might be out. a flooded RCPD would be... would it be better or worse? Hawkins wouldn't change much, come to think of it.

You couldnt really flood multilevel areas without submerging the whole map, because with rpd you'd be missing out on three whole levels. You know, unless the laws of water distribution no longer apply in the Entity's realm.

Torn down and burned to the ground RCPD would definitely be better.

Only way I could see it working is if the power adds water to the map in certain areas of the map or something. Kind of like how Nemesis adds zombies. But I wouldn't restrict survivors going through any areas. Unless they add swimming to the game.

Short answer: No.
Reason: Too many maps with elevated areas, multiple floors, etc.
Your underwater killer would have to be above-ground the whole time. Sorry Jaws fanboys.

It definitely might be better to just have that character override maps entirely

That would be genuinely awesome, I had a similar idea about this, there are pools scattered through out the map and you can warp to each one, but there is a red addon that prevents you from warping, but you can instead drop a survivor in a pool and they would have a timer to get someone to get them out or they'll drown. Op? Yes. This was just for fun, no way should that exist haha

Yes, because I want Jaws as a killer. 😂

I doubt it and mostly due to technical/hardware reasons...

No. Same reason we don’t have flying killers. It’s too much of a hassle to program and design. Nautical themed killers though? It’s very likely going to happen sometime in the future. Perhaps a drowned pirate or something similar. Spirit is already very close to that since her body is blue from sinking to the bottom of a lake.

If you know this movie hat's off to you

A nautical themed killer or like a “Creature from the Black Lagoon” type killer, yes I can see them adding. But they have to be able to chase on land.
I’d LOVE a nautical theme chapter.

In terms of flooded maps, I don't think that could work effectively with the amount of elevation in some maps, plus the maps that are two floors.
If you had a killer that went under the ground and traversed in that way (kind of like demo, but free movement) I could see that working better. It would still have its issues, but I'm sure there is some work around.

I do want some sort of Nautical or Amphibian killer

In terms of a flooded map? No.
That would brick Consoles.

oh like it could get any worse

It could brick the Console and prevent you from playing any other games too.

Maybe a killer that can create pools of water or streaks of wet floor?
Survivors could slip and slide stunning them for some time hehe. Maybe the killer could even drench gens and slow their progression on them?
I think a lot of stuff could be done with water/ ocean theme but I do not think a flooded map is possible.

I doubt it.

Not water baised but fog wind or even gas based can work
