If it's not what you wanted...
Don't worry, the game isn't dying any time soon. It took us a long 5 years to get Resident Evil, once thought impossible but we have it now, and with each license they add that's one less license they have to pick from in the future, so there's a solid chance you'll eventually get what you were hoping for unless it's just straight up impossible
And don't listen to those people dancing on the grave of the character you wanted, and if you're one of those people maybe try to look at it from a more empathetic point of view. Imagine if you wanted a character but didn't get them, would you want people shitting all over that character? We've all been disappointed sooner or later, maybe try not to make it worse and instead of giving people a reason to hate one thing, give them a reason to like another ☺️
Personally I was hoping for Candyman (my dream chapter is The Evil Within though) but I'm okay with anything as long as the power is good, fun, and unique. Pinhead could be cool, I'm kind of afraid he might end up being like Deathslinger with the chains and stuff, but hopefully they'll make him unique. Also Hellraiser and Candyman were made by the same guy as far as I know so maybe there's a higher chance of getting Candyman now than there was before

Well it may not be dying in terms of content but stability. Different story

I just want a Candyman chapter while Tony Todd is still around and able to voice act. However long it takes (assuming I'm still playing), I'll deal with it.

I was just thinking the same thing. Glad you made a thing about it. The amount of hate and to be blunt, cruel behavior towards these people for wanting a chapter of their favorite franchise / character. I get Candyman, Pennywise, fnaf have all been talked about for years and people are annoyed hearing the same desire shouted again and again. I'm tired of hearing Candyman, I actually don't really like the franchise, I've admitted that before - I expressed support though if he ever was to come to DBD, I just would want him to be viable but I'm not going to bash others for wanting him or seeing the Candyman comments every chapter speculation. I'd like to think I'm a decent person at heart. All the, "shut up about x coming to dbd, it ain't happening" or anything bordering that line is unnecessary. Imagine having a favorite show or toy that you love and everybody does and people just stomp all over it. Does it feel good? It doesn't. You and I might have thick skin but others might not. Some people are naturally sensitive, some people suffer from various illnesses that causes them to be so sensitive (autism for instance; my younger sister is on the spectrum and maybe that's why I'm so empathetic towards these issues). Telling people to shut up about their favorite fandom is kind of an ass thing to do. If it annoys you so much, just scroll past the thread but killing the spark in others is unjustified. I don't care how many years you've heard it or have been annoyed by it. If you can't contribute to the conversation in a civil manner then why bother speaking? To tear them down? A little empathy in this toxic community can go a long way.

they might just take lines from the movie.

If Candyman doesn't come as the next licensed killer, there's little reason to believe he'll come at all. I never thought there'd be a time where Jason has a higher chance of coming than Candyman.

Evil within would be interesting. Though, it kinda feels like Pyramid Head, you know what I mean?
Not saying it's a bad idea, I'm all a board that idea, I'm just curious if anyone else feels that way

I dont think so. There were always many bugs and the console optimization problem will solve itself. They will just stall long enough until most people move on to better hardware.

I'm glad to see there's a small section of people on this forum that can show some damn politeness and consideration.

Wholesome post ^^
Yes people forget themselves and turn new chapters into fandom wars which is a shame.
The thing is, with every IP that comes in it will make a portion of the player base very happy and attract fresh victims... I mean players ^^" There should be no negativity. If someone doesn't like a licensed character they simply don't have to buy it... not rain on people's parades.
