the community as almost a whole has moved from the horror survival point and click. To a a more physiology horror with story and free roam.
I get the lore is very confusing and time consuming to understand

Fam, I do not want to be rude, but pay attention to how the survivors and killers act in game, and I believe you will realize they don't want "children" in the game for two reasons, one... They are projecting. Or two, they are normal people who want less of those people in their matches. Lol.
This game is already infested with immaturity. FNAF would change absolutely nothing. It is just the low hanging fruit. If anything, the lack of attacks on Hellraiser almost proves the opposite. The FNAF fan base is clearly more mature.

At this point I am against fnaf for the sole reason that it's been spammed so much. Its Sidney Prescott level of annoying at this point and fnaf doesn't even have the fancams yet.
Not that I've seen, anyway.
I have nothing against the franchise (since Scott's retirement; I have a lot against him) and despite not personally thinking it'll mesh well they managed to put in Silent Hill so I actually have faith in BHVR in that department. But the vocal minority of this community has annoyed me so much that I simply do not want them to get what they want out of spite.

Clearly, people DO NOT want to discuss FNaF on the forum. People are tired of it. People don't like it being brought up every chapter release.
These discussions aren't helping anything- In fact, you're probably making it worse. These topics only enforce people's dislike of the series. Before I came to this forum, I didn't care for Springtrap one way or another.
He's been spammed so much I sincerely hope he doesn't get in. If you want FNaF in, fine, whatever-- Just please, stop talking about it. You are making it worse.

I have nothing against FNAF being put in the game. Everything about the lore and world it's a part of seems like it'd fit in DBD totally fine. If we can have a killer K-pop star, a cowboy, an otherworldly demon whose entire head is a mouth, a Babylonian priestess, and some guy wearing a mask of William Shatner all in the same horror game, I don't see what makes Springtrap or any of the other FNAF animatronics out of place.

People react negatively because it's been spammed and brought up so much.
That won't stop. It's always going to be a cycle. The only way to stop it is to stop posting about FNaF, or until the Dev's either make a FNaF chapter or confirm they won't do one.

Largely cause they have the stupid idea that FNAF playerbase is entirely made of children, which is not only wrong, but THIS VERY game also have young players too.
Besides, just cause they like FNAF, doesnt mean they will like DBD, let alone play it, if anything its highly possible a large amount of the FNAF playerbase doesnt even know this game exists.
FNAF and DBD are extremely different, just cause the like one doesnt mean they will like the other.
Also are we seriously against Springtrap cause "he doesnt fit? do i need to remind you about the bunny skins for Legion and that elephant Clown skin?, the argument of not fitting aesthetically is just weak, we have those skins already plus Trickster broke the tradition in the killers design.

Thats what i think, too. I didnt care about it much before, even though i think its just the wrong subgenre. However, i start to hate springtrap due to the sheer number of threads i encounter.
Also, even if he makes it into the game, i think the hate will start pounding in then, because he will be changed to fit into DBD, and he will just not be strong, just like the last bunch of killers. And because it is another subgenre, the thrill of having him in the game will vanish fast, because it will simply not trigger any memorys. Which means a lot of the fanbase that want him will be disappointed.
But however, i still dont care much if he comes or not.
