No more balance to demogorgon?
Now that he is leaving dbd, would the devs be able to change him in the future or not?

He's not leaving, if you have the characters you get to keep them. They're only being removed from the store as well as Hawkins being removed from the game.

It seems likely that the state he is currently in is the state that he will stay in
Sure, plenty of us already have him but if BHVR can't sell more of him, it's unlikely they're going to bother with making any changes

Without the right to do anything with Stranger Things, yes this does mean they can no longer update Demogorgon or the perks from the chapter. They will essentially remain the way they are until DBD dies, unless they somehow regain the license in the future.
And I think they mentioned the character specific achievements will be kept if you got them but otherwise will be removed. The non-specific achievements are going to be recontextualized to remove any hints or mentions to Stranger Things.

I am not so sure about that. see DBD holds license for their game. This is why nobody is allowed to make copies of DBD, like you cannot have hooks, design window vaults, pallets or use any of DBD structural gameplay system such as Bloodweb or perks.
I believe licensing is related to the name "Demogorgon", his artwork and any references to his character. Its the yellow text that appears below the perk or add-on. I don't think the license includes gameplay of DBD.
This an example of what cannot be changed.

man I do not really pay attention to the lore aspect of perks and add-ons but reading this. I wonder why Mindbreaker inflicts exhaust effect for working on generator. this description suggests Mindbreaker should be terror radius perk that inflicts exhaustion. The dread aspect is not really shown in this perk. perhaps it should also afflicted oblivious as well?
wow I already made a cooler perk that would be awesome for nurse and have great synergy with Nurse calling by reading dbd wiki description of perks i never use.

I highly doubt it. I'm assuming the devs are smart enough to keep license holders out of game balance, for obvious reasons. However, the reduced availability probably means that Demogorgon balance won't be a top priority, due to the reduced number of Demogorgon players.

funny. i was playing survivor during entire mmr. I do not think I faced single demogorgon. Demo is like extinct species.

i haven't played demo yet, but AFAIK from streamers that play him, he seems to be in a good place.

Demogorgon can more than likely continue to receive balance changes through numerical values being altered, though his power will stay as-is.
