Would you be opposed to the removal of Map offerings?

Why/Why Not?

Im kinda 50/50 on this.
While it can be abused (mostly from the survivors side) due to how horrendously unbalanced some maps are, some builds do require map offerings to work, the best example being Jumpscare Myers, which is next to useless on nearly every map but two of them.
I think they could just make it Purple rarity, instead of green.

I wouldn’t care, but I’m down for @Zokenay ’s suggestion of making them purple. All of my survivors are just cluttered with maps that I never use.

I like map offerings for few reasons. Biggest reason is times I get the Game map 5 times in a row I like to throw in a map offering to hopefully get a break from going there. Another reason is certain archive challenges are better to do on certain maps - like fall from great height I want to avoid being sent to shelter woods and instead go to a map with plenty of heights to fall from.
The only reason I'd like to get rid of map offerings is because of the possibility of maps being removed from the game like Hawkins.

Yes I think they should. The fact that one side can completely shift the balance towards their side because they choose the map is a bit unfair. Untill maps are more balanced for both sides I say just retire the offerings untill then.

No, having some days I land almost every game in McMillan/Springwood/Azarovs maps I really miss hitting maps like midwich, dead dawg or red forest

Removing them would make the game more enjoyable

No, I'd love for them to go. The blood webs a full of trash that nobody uses.

Not opposed, no. While I myself sometimes burn offerings to interrupt the monotony of getting the same handful of maps over and over (I've noticed that it seems - SEEMS - like the maps that people keep getting almost appear to differ based on which character or characters are being played), it's not terribly necessary to me and I can see how the cons can outweigh the pros. I don't advocate anything being removed from the game but map offerings can provide players with inherent advantages that arbitrarily increase their chance of success. That's a bit of a balancing issue.
If there's anything I would openly approve of losing though it would be fog offerings. The fog is all but nonexistent in this game now (I recently watched footage of the game's first year or so of release and was outright astonished by how much more atmospheric and immersive the fog made the game at that time). Now, it's been tested and confirmed by multiple users to basically remain the same nearly nonexistent little wisps regardless of what fog offerings are played, so at this point they're literally a redundant gameplay mechanic, a useless waste of BP. I'd get rid of those before even considering any other offerings.

A Haddonfield offering is more op than keys and almost as ridiculous as old moris so yeah, they need to be removed or at the very least reduce by 4 the the chances on survivor side since they can stack it and killer can't.

I wouldn't remove them completely but I would rework them so they reduce the chance of being sent to a certain map instead of increasing it. In that way, you could avoid any really annoying map where you definitely don't want to play without giving one side a massive advantage in the match

I wrlcome the removal of map offering i think it should always be rng. Some killer will get hit hard if they do that i mean only one lol no map offering mean no scratch mirror myers
1 -
No. Map Offerings should be removed or be killer only. Survivors have too much in their bloodweb already and have a higher potential of being "abused". And if killers start abusing them they should be removed for them as well.

They should be removed, but it won't happen. They added Sacrificial Ward as a (terrible) band-aid fix and that's that. I doubt we'll see anything else, at least not in the near future.

I don't use them often, for either side, but I do like having them so I wouldn't want them removed.
However, stuff like most of the point offerings, hook and fog offerings I certainly wouldn't miss.

No. I Feel as though maps should be up to random chance. I know this hurts some builds like scratched mirror myers, but overall i think the good it would do would be staggering. The maps in this game are too one sided for certain killers/survivors and its not particularly fair you can just send yourself to them for an ez win.

Yes because i love the ability to play on a certain map if i wanted as a reward for progressing characters.

Get rid of them and fix the game’s algorithm to place you in each map evenly.

Map offerings should absolutley be removed. So tired of both sides using them to completley change the course of a match all the time.

Some of us will miss them i can still remember er the days of new moon offerings lol but nobody remembers those either anymore

I would not be opposed, as i never use them.
But while i'm not opposed to them, i'd rather these would have a refund function: Delete them and get (some) BP back.

Dont really ever use offerings unless me and my friends are trying to test a strat.

I don't care either way, but it would be nice to be able to sell them (and maybe other things) back because I don't use nearly as many as I get, and there are some maps I'd never want to go to so they're just sitting there in my inventory for eternity. Even if I only got back 10% of the cost (which would be pretty bad) that's still better than 0 use at all

I honestly don't care either way. The best part of them getting removed would be more stuff I'll actually end up using taking their place in my bloodwebs.

If they remove the offerings I hope nothing else take their place, I still have A LOOOOT of grinding ahead and the fewer items the better lol

I like bullying people on Midwich as Nurse and playing Gideon with pallet eater Wraith, so I'd be a bit opposed to it. I don't like being sent to bad maps like Springwood or Haddonfield though, but I would prefer for sacrificial wards to be more common or make sense instead of removing map offerings entirely.

I like the map offerings right now because some of the maps lag and freeze less for me so I like burning the offerings for those. If/when I do get a PC that handles the game better, then I probably won't care about the offerings.

I've always thought they have either side an unfair advantage and I'd be fine with them being removed. I only ever sometimes use them for tome challenges ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
0 -
Neutral. I don't like SWF abusing them, but removing the mechanic entirely is removing an aspect of fun.
1 -
I go both ways. I enjoy map offerings and do not use them often unless I am running a specific fun build, but they can be very annoying sometimes.
I would prefer they stick around, but it would be helpful if the game had different modes. Maybe map offerings could be a thing in one mode, but in a more competitive mode they would not be allowed.

I don't feel as strongly about maps being one-sided as most other users do but in general I agree with this, I think that the way to ensure the most fair game for all players is to have them go into each match not having any idea which map they might wind up on. That kind of thing should be unpredictable. No one should be able to "rig" the match in their favor.
Of course I'd also like them to fix the map rotation so that...you know, everyone actually SEES them all, but that's a dream for another time.
