License Issues
The beginning of the end has already begun, before the recent and unwelcome development. If this license isn't reacquired or other recourse occurs, DBD marketing is going to continue to plummet in other ways that won't make the game palatable anymore.
Mark my words, by the end of next year, this game won't have even half it's current player base.
If BHVR lost another license, which lost license would make you stop playing altogether?

what happen to Stranger Things is almost happened with Spiderman on Disney + , Netflix pulling out their content from all platform since Netflix want develop his own game platform like steam or game shooter/horror.

Ridiculous. Half the player base gone over one licensing issue? Laughable.

No lose of license would stop me to play this game.
Honestly I don't even like nemesis in dbd and I really love re3 (not the remake).
Same goes for PH, I love silent hill 2 (my favorite horror game ever) and even if dbd lost PH I would still play it.
You think 1 license is gonna ruin 1 game, I think you are just being ridiculous.

"Mark my words" bruh c'mon licenses come and go in other games all the time.
2 -
Can you give some examples? Not that I think you're wrong or anything, it's just that from my experience of playing and following some games with license content, hearing about them getting removed from the game is a first for me.
It makes me now wonder how older games like MKX can still have characters like Predator or Leatherface available for purchase.

They're still here there just isn't going to be any future updates on the strange things cast.
It's sad and I hope that future licenses don't end up with the same fate but I'm pretty confident that most will uphold.

Well for people who currently own it. It means future players won't have access to these survivors and killers that licenses are lost on.

None of the licenses are permanent. That's just bad business practice.

Hey remember how DBD has been dying since June 16th 2016 and every time something bad happens we get about 40 posts going "MARK MY WORDS THIS IS THE END" and it's still not the end?

I'll believe that when the end of the world happens.
Relax it's not the end Netflix realized how much they could of milked off demo. Their gonna try to make a game realize that cant or do it bad and then try to re contract with bhvr
After realizing how much they lost

Stranger Things + Avatar: the Last Airbender in SMITE- limited time skins that when they're gone are gone for purchase.
GEN:LOCK in Paladins- limited time skins that when they expire are gone for purchase.

Its actually good practice.
Dbd could of been going under An lawsute or something if it was permanent.
Having it agreed upon for 2 year period makes it safer to end a contract with a company. Or if the company not being satisfied they can back out without much legal dispute
Best example of this if freddy issue the original person died.
Dose the rights go to the family of the creator or the company that helps produce it.
Having that 2 year contract would allow the producers continue their work. While allowing the family to monitor the results

A 2 year contract isn't permanent.
2 -
But it's not bad business like you said
1 -
@ProfoundEnding was saying that permanent contracts were bad business???
2 -
Yes from what I got exactly that

Nobody is gonna pull license lmao it's literally losing free money.
Netflix only did it because they want to be a direct competitor to steam.
I dunno why this community is so dramatic.

I don't ever see DBD dying, but I don't see it getting any less stale over time. It'll be one of those things everyone keeps playing but they aren't always sure why lol

None because I already own all the licensed characters I wanted, it's sad to see demo go, knowing that in a year or two he's gonna be the rarest killer to see, but he's gonna stay for everyone that already bought him. If they were to remove the characters from the game, instead of from the store, that would be a different issue.
