Why no Kirsty Cotton survivor?
So I re-watched Hellraiser as it seems extremely likely the next chapter will be Hellraiser which after re-watching them I'm even more for. But someones missing. Kirsty. Undoubtly one oi the most underrated and amazing scream queens. She's a perfect fit for DBD, a young fighter whos beaten demons and never gives up no matter how tough the challenge. NOT to mention we've gotten NO iconic scream queens from the late 80's-90's. Not to mention she even has legendary skin options in the forms of Tiffany and Joey! Ashley Laurence is a total sweetheart I'm sure if given the chance she'd definitely love to hop on board!

The actor who played her is following DBD twitter so it's possible we're getting her sometime. It could be a late addition or the leaks could be wrong.
She also might just be following because of the chapter itself. We'll have to wait and see.

Idk anything about her as a character but I love the way she looks and her design so I can back this up.

I really wish that she would be added to the game. Ashley Lawrence is an awesome person & actor. She really loves her time in Horror films and is CONSTANTLY reveling in Horror stuff as seen on her Twitter account. I hope BHVR will consider trying to get her character of Kirsty added, as she was a part of 3 of the films, 4 if you count a small cameo in the 3rd movie. She's often seen as the main protagonist not unlike Nancy from the original Nightmare on Elm Street franchise had.

Shes a great character! Somewhat like Cheryl Mason but optimistic :)
Also RIGHT she has such great outfits! Hellraiser girls always have the best fits

I love Ashley shes so cool! Kirsty would be such a perfect addition to DBDs roster tbh and I can't imagine the Hellraiser IP is super hard to handle so i imagine Kirsty could get cool outfits and legendary skins

I'd love Kirsty. Her actress liked the teaser too, so it would be bizarre for her not to be included in some capacity.
Kinda unsure about licensed content atm though, all things considered.

The DLC hasn't been released. Don't rely on leaks (remember how Trickster was the LGBT chapter?), wait for real information.

Another thing to keep in mind is there are varying levels of license. They might get a license for a character but not an actor's appearance. That seems more common than not. So a lot of people might be disappointed if they secured the character but the DBD version did not look like the actor. All anyone can do now is wait and see.

Leaksbydaylight is not a good leaking site. I follow DBDLeaks on Twitter and they're much better, they don't spread nonsense like that, only credible information. Leaksbydaylight is notorious for twisting things and making it seem legitimate.

Yeah but Kirsty's follows both DbD and BHVR on twitter and as far as I know, she also like the Hellraiser teaser. I doubt she won't look like the character if she makes an appearence.

Well, if the chain of 'ifs' comes through, we shall see. I just feel like pretty much most of the tv/movie characters went down this "doesn't look like X" road.

But it never happened until now. I'm sure you can understand the difference between something having the potential to occur and something actually occurring.
Idk why people on the board are getting so oddly defensive over anyone being bummed or nervous about the license being lost. It's a natural reaction to something like this.

Why does this make you or anyone nervous? Netflix is in no way connected to any other license this game holds.
This was not BHVR'S decision, so I don't see a reason to be any more nervous because of this happening. This isn't a domino affect.

There is some belief that the survivor is coming as a separate paragraph somewhat later based on data mining. SO we're still wait and see on this point.
On the topic of The Cenobite, looks good and the powers look fun. The slow down perks look rough for survivors, to me. The smarter people will do the analysis there.
I think maybe that boon totems will come with this next survivor who might very well be your girl.

Because it's never happened before. The reality has set in that any license can fall through at any time. Of course that has always been a possibility like you said, but to repeat myself, the possibility of something happening is far different from it actually happening.
We don't know what did or didn't happen, so we can't be sure who's at fault. It's not something they can/will be transparent about either, so again we just don't know.
Being in the dark about a situation like this along with the potential for it to happen again doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.

Why did Leatherface lack a survivor and a Sawyer house map? Why did we get Quentin over Nancy? Why did we get 2010 Elm Street over the more iconic 1984 Elm Street? Why don't we get legendary alternative Saw survivors?

I suppose but Ashley Lawrence seems open to being in it shes still active in the horror community, still loves hellraiser, even followed DBD. I don't think it was a red tape reason tbh

I agree she does seem like the kind of person who would be all in with something like this.
And her character is unquestionably the most recognizable and important protagonist in the series. Kirsty would be fully valid addition to the survivor roster.

It's not just up to her though. Maybe she's just following because she enjoys Hellraiser.
Maybe the license holders actually said no themselves for whatever reason.
