As a community, we gotta agree on PH!
We’re in for a world of confusion if we don’t work this out early on.
PH
Is it Pyramid Head or Pinhead?
Personally I think it’s Pyramid Head since he’s historically been referred to by those initials. Essentially, he wins cuz he came to DBD first.
But that’s just me - I’m open to arguments to the contrary.

PH is Pyramid Head, since he came to DBD first. Pinhead's name is shorter so it's a lot easier to type that out.

Pornhub ofc

'Pinhead' is rather easy to type, whereas 'Pyramid Head' (whilst still easy, Americans have to realise they're just lazy) is slightly 'harder'. Besides, Pyramid Head is two separate words (Pyramid + Head) while Pinhead is not.
I think it's official. Pyramid Head is PH. Anybody who says otherwise is a fool hehe. :D

PH is Pyramid Head, just say Pinhead or even Pin for our recent addition.

I'm with calling Pyramid Head "PH", not just because he was first to the game (though not first in general) but also because, as others have said, it's shorter, and also because it's two words. The character from Hellraiser is "Pinhead", one word.
I say we keep calling Pyramid Head PH, it's just practical. Pinhead can be "Pins" or "Pinnie" or something (if not just "Pinhead").

Who ya calling Pinhead?

It seems that we’re all on the same page so far, so that’s good. I’ve already seen thread titles out here where they use PH for pinhead, so just be warned!

Lead Cenobite.
0 -
I still call him Hellraiser.
0 -
PIN or HR
3 -
Most of my friends just call him Hellraiser, so I’m sticking with that lol

You know what's confusing? In the novel that the movies are based on he wasn't even the lead Cenobite. A fat character named Butterball was.
And now I want them to add a chapter based on Puppet Master, which includes a puppet named Pinhead, just to make things more confusing. In the meantime I'm off to drink some PH water.

I've always referred to Pyramid Head as Toblerone.
2 -
You could go P H for Pyramid head and PH for Pinhead. Or PH and Ph. Or /\ and ().
I like the last one, personally.
1 -
Ha! Hey, way off topic, but did you know there’s a bear hidden in the mountain on the left side of the Toblerone package? (Right in front of the “T”)

Ladies and gents, we have a winner!

I liked the idea of 4Head for Pyramid Head.
Pinhead can just be referred to as ‚The one who came‘. Pretty easy to type out.
0 -
You can call him by his irl name, Elliot. 😎
0 -
Does Pinhead still go by ‚he/him‘ pronouns? I just read on the forums that as a Cenobite he is pretty much genderless. But it’s probably still He, right?
0 -
Call him HP as in Hell Priest.
0 -
I think they're all pansexual but not necessarily without gender (they're demons, so I guess they can all be anything, but if I recall correctly the movies refer to Pinhead as "he" and aren't specifically ambiguous about gender). I do know that the lone female Cenobite in the first film is the only one not given a more personalized name (no idea why) and is officially listed as "Female Cenobite".
1 -
I'm not well-versed in Hellraiser lore but I don't ever recall them losing their original pronouns. One of Pinhead's cenobite companions is even referred simply as "female cenobite".
1 -
Thx, sounds reasonable that way 👍

Pyramid Head. He came first, it makes more sense that way. Just call him Cenobite or Hell Priest or something.
0 -
I'll cal Pinhead bPH. Pyramid head will be PH.
B stands for baby.

I’ve started to call Pyramid Head “Prymid”. Shortens it down to 2 syllables, and makes room for Pinhead to be the “head”.
Pinny feels forced to me, and Hell Priest, though accurate, feels a bit too cheesy.
0 -
Yeah, I was getting confused with that too.
Honestly, if people want Pinhead to have the same letters that's fine, but as Pinhead is one word, just make the "h" in lower case.
Therefore, Pyramid Head = PH, Pinhead = Ph.
Although, I do think it's probably better to not follow my advice here.

No problem. :)
The original book that the series was based on makes the issue of gender less clear, if I recall (it's been ages since I read it, and even longer since I saw the film, so there's blur), but my memory is that Pinhead is given male pronouns in at least the first few films. In fact I don't recall if he's ever called by the name "Pinhead" in the earlier films or simply "it" and "he / him".
For those who don't know, the book is actually REALLY interesting. Written, of course, by Clive Barker, a gay man, it's a story that was inspired by his work as a male prostitute. He wanted to tell a fantasy story about the sexual nature of good and evil. It's basically the story of a man who is so bored with human sexuality that he seeks out the infamous puzzle box, which he believes will open the door to a dimension of pleasure, but upon doing so discovers that the creatures from this dimension can't differentiate between pleasure and pain. By opening the box he has made himself one of their "experiments" in a level of sadomasochism beyond human comprehension, and he wants to come back to the human world. I won't give anything away but this has disastrous results.
It's a fascinating story. Better than the film, if memory serves. The Cenobites are basically ambassadors of extreme sexual cruelty and punishment, but generally only toward those who deserve it (or inadvertently ask for it by solving the puzzle box).

Lol, Pinhead = Ph. Aka “Acid”. That’s my new name for him!
(I understand he could be “Alkaline” as well, or even ”Neutral”, but come on, Acid is just so much better!)
1 -
For what it's worth Pinhead is actually referred to in the movies (and book, I think?) as the Hell Priest.
0 -
I’m aware, yeah. It’s just a bit too cheesy for my taste. Same with Deathslinger, who I just call “Slinger”.

Ah, okay. That's fair.
When BHVR does the next study of how frequently the various killers are chosen we'll find out his PIN number.
...I'll show myself RIGHT out the door.

PH is the guy smuggling cake.
Pin is the dope with the nipple clamps.
1 -
No but I thank you for the excuse to buy candy now so I can check it out.

PH is triangle head.
HP is hell priest.

I call him 4head. It's just fitting. The "4" is is head and 4head is kinda funny.
1 -
I prefer to call him Mr Baldy.
0 -
I'm going with HR. Full name is HR Buttstuff.
0 -
Let's just shorthand Pinhead to TTM: ThumbTack Man.
0 -
Pyramid Head is 2 words, Pinhead is 1 word so PH should be for Pyramid Head.
1 -
Just call him Pin.
2 -
PH = Pyramid Head
As for Pinhead, if he needs a shorter name, let's use his in game title 'The Cenobyte' and shorten it to either TC or Ceno ^^
1 -
Call him head

exactly lol

What's wrong with Pin or PinH?
0 -
PH is Pyramid Head, period.
And I see lot of streamer calling Pinhead "Hellraiser" so. HR ?

Fix your ######### seal dude

Pyr-A-Mid Head: 4 syllables
Pin-head: 2 syllables
PH goes to Pyramid Head, because he's been around longer and has a 'longer' to pronounce name.
