I played about 25 games as Pinhead. Hoarder is his best perk
Ability to find survivor who found the box allow you to hunt him and activate the box by yourself. Chain hunt is devastating for survivors. They can't do gens or run in chase properly for about 30s, until new box spawns and survivor picks it. And then you see them with hoarder again. You can combine it with franklins so you only need one hit to get the box. This combo is very. VERY strong

Wow. That does seem powerful, especially is you use two of the addon that increases the time needed for survivors to solve the Lament Configuration

That sounds really interesting. But I wonder how much time you’d waste defending the box versus gens… or dropping a chase because you got the item pickup notification.

You don't have to think about gens once you activated the box. And it's just 1 hit with franklins

Franklin's and hoarder are both good on him. Tho I think brutal strength works nice

Hoarder is great on Nemesis as well. He sees everyone who grabs a vaccine.

You can only teleport if they start solving the box. If they choose to just pick up the box and keep it, you can't teleport.

Huh never even considered it would work on his box. Thats actually a pretty interesting synergy.

If you teleport the curse reset as if the puzzle was solved and then u have to wait several seconds in order to a new box to spawn and starts to gain "charges" towards the chain curse.
If you are able to down the survivor or drop the box out of their hand before they complete the puzzle solving interaction, you can pick up the box and instantly curse everyone with the chains for several seconds until the box respawns and someone tries to solve it again.

Chains will constantly harass survivors at gens, combine it with ruin and they will take much longer to finish them.

Now this... this is fun. Combine that with Thrill of the hunt and his new totem cleanse perk (Hex: Plaything) and you got an info build that keeps people busy.

I planned to use franklin + hoarder on live but then they nerfed franklin and it doesn't destroy vaccines anymore. Now, with Pinhead release nerf makes sense. You can still get a lot of info but Nemesis is just too weak and needs slowdown perks to be viable

They don't like this kind of unique perk interaction with killer powers so I'd imagine they'll nerf hoarder and Franklin's when it goes live.

Its in the killers best interest because once he opens the box everyone gets chained stopping them from doing anything they were doing. oh yeah i love it.

Isn't Hoarder redundant though? As soon as a survivor picks the box up, they're gonna start working on it anyway, giving you the notification.

Usually survivor tries to find safe place before he starts to work on the box, Or waits for you to start chase or pick somebody up.

Hoarder is not only cool on Him. This perk has become one of my standards and I play a lot of different builds on different killers with this perk. Here is a small example of one of my builds for the Clown: MY, this year there are no gifts build. Hoarder; Bloodwarden; Franklins and Noed. Also i pair this with the Santa Claus Outfit + theese Add ons: Party Bottle and TMF. HO HO HO
A very funny build :D

What was the Gearhead treatment? From what I can remember, that has always been a garbage perk.

It was bad, and they nerfed it on release. Now if weak perk gets nerfed we call it got gearheaded

Solving it almost guarantees that he’ll teleport to you and start a chase, and survivors usually want to experience the new killer and their power on the PTB. Plus nobody really gets how the power works on PTB at first. On live, they’ll probably (maybe) play it a bit smarter.

and don't forget survivors holding the box are oblivious so pinhead can get them very easily
all they need to do now is fix it so survivors cant hold the box hostage like victor and we will have another high tier killer

Wow thank you so much for this, because, unfortunately all I've read is how Survivors that hold the box hostage can get away with it all game long and there's nothing Pinhead can do about it.. read lots of complaints and made me feel like he was going to be a weak killer since most of his power can be taken away by survivors holding the box hostage.
But seeing this, especially making a Perk as uncommon as Hoarder useful, actually gave me some hope! Now I'm very excited to try it out, to be honest this should kind of be "basekit" for Pinhead anyways possibly but at least with a Perk slot you can do something to counter what I read about. Fun, thank you so much for sharing!

He's not so strong at chase. Risk is too high. beter spend 5 secs to activate it and keep chasing

Agreed! This is what I ran in PTB and it worked out well most of the time. Although I still think his possession chains are too weak and could use a buff.
