There is no matchmaking at this point, and I dont think mmr will be any better based on how the last test went for me but now its invisible so we can't complain anymore, or I guess thats what bhvrs idea is.

The SBMMR Test was great. It provided a fair matchmaking for most of the people.

That being said, the forum was full of people, that complained about the SBMMR. So i´m not sure if the SBMMR comes back any time soon.

I loved the SBMMR Test. I actually had engaging and fun games compared to the old system where you get matched against a hero red rank loopers where you can just as well just AFK.

I loved it as solo survivor.

Finally good team mates, and was still facing strong killers. I think most people who complained about it are just used to going against people who are weaker than them and didn't like the challenge.

Exactly. Finally some good teammates that didn´t suicide in the first hook or disconnected on the first hit.

I´d say the people that complained the most were SWF teams that carried each other and were matched with a skill rating, that was far above their actual skill.

Yeah MMR was kinda horrible for me. I dunno, I guess no matter what there are survivors who are too scared to play the game. I had two games during MMR where I was on a gen, one person got hooked with Kindred, and the other two were waiting at the gate. TWO TIMES IT HAPPENED.

I kinda wish they didn't have a ranking system at all. It's not like ranks mean anything, and bad players seem to think they're amazing if they hit rank one. I had someone with 56 total hours hit rank one as a survivor and they actually thought they were god tier.

Idk what mmr is supposed to class as skill hut as a killer it felt almost identical to current matchmaking. Which means it usually came down to there being maybe one survivor who knew what they were doing and 3 people who didn't, but bad maps and spawns also play a big role cause even a bad survivors can get lucky and spawn all spread out jump on a gen and have 3 gens done by the 2 minute mark.

I'm already missing SBMM. The matching has gone absolutely terribly since it was taken down - well, probably an exaggeration, but there is a notable quality of match-making dip since SBMM was removed.

I must have missed this year's SBMM test. But I remember it from around 2 years ago. I was matched with survivors of very different ranks, but the matchmaking in terms of ability seemed fair and balanced. It just shows how irrelevant rank is in this game.

I have not played the game much recently. Now, due to rank reset, I feel like I'm stuck in rank 20 hell! As a survivor, I'm often matched with noobs and cannot escape the match. As killer, I'm either matched with noobs who get demolished, or with co-ordinated SWF squads and don't get a kill - even though they could be yellow ranks. That's what happens with rank reset: you never know whether you're playing with skilled and experienced players who have not played for a while or people who are new to the game (or just bad at it).

I suppose rank reset is intended to motivate people to play enough matches, well enough, to PIP and progress through the ranks. But now I tend to be weary of having to play enough unbalanced games to reach green or purple ranks.

I hope BHVR implement SBMM again soon, so I can enjoy more balanced games quicker, without the grind.
