Does anyone else get annoyed being against huntress?

Her power is literally so easy to learn and use, and she can ignore pallets and vaults and such and just hit you anyways, theres no downside to her power, atleast nurse has fatigue, what does she have, you drop a pallet and then she hits you anyways because of "Dedicated servers". Pathetic gameplay, killers are so boring to play against these days and yes im a killer main. I switch to survivor once and get tunneled by the humming bimbo.

She eats a heft slowdown everytime she pulls out a hatchet, allowing you to gain distance, she only hits you over the pallet if you throw it, dont throw the pallet, she pulls out the hatchet, she gets no hit and she slowsdown a ton allowing you to gain distance.

Its all about predicting whether shell pull up the hatchet or just walk through pallet and try to m1 you.

I don't like playing against Huntress because she's really boring... humming gets on my nerves a bit too. I wouldn't say I'd rather play against, say, Spirit instead of Huntress, because at least Huntress is much easier and has counters... but it's still pretty boring 😒

  • Yes there is a downside to her power, she moves at 4.4 and has a 45 meter lullaby, and her power needs to be reloaded.

Personally i think she's a well designed killer, i enjoy dodging hatches as survivor.

She's one of the slowest killers, her secondary action needs reloading, her humming gives her away so stealth is not an option with her and aiming is not necessarily easy for non-FPS players, also most people that go against her know that dropping pallets is useless, I don't see how there's "no downside" to her power really.

she has perks to counteract her windup time, and even then you tryto loop her you cant because she will bodyblock you and hold her hatchet. she is not even close to the slowest, nurse is slower lmao. there is no penalty if she misses her hatchet, she just chases and trys again, atleast nurse has fatigue, blight has fatigue.

Only thing I find annoying about her is the insane hitbox her hatchets have. Same thing with Nurse.

The downside is her ammo count. She needs to go to a locker to reload. And she might look like a competent marathon runner when compared to Nurse, but really, I could walk faster than her run, bro.

Nurse power make her move at 300% movement speed, so she's overall faster than huntress, and she have to reload, so she's actually the slowest killer in the game, with my flashy boy trickster. If one of those scenario that you described happen, you either where in a junk loop (which is a death sentence against any killer, unless you stun them) you can just hold w and put ######### in the way, she will not hit you, on a loop, just don't drop the pallet if you hear that she wind up the hatches, she's not that difficult to go against, as long as you hold w she will waste ######### ages.

She can be annoying at times, im never particularly bothered since this game has beaten all of the decent emotions out of my body, but i certainly do get a little angry when she hits me with her fridge sized hatchets from around a corner. The fact that i know what the hitboxes look like additionally peeves me, why the hell are they massive pills? Huntress does have a great aesthetic though, so i can forgive it.

The only thing that pisses me off about them is that the user is usually 60+ ping and gets hits they don't deserve.

I never claimed I spoke for anyone else to begin with.

You don't speak for my experience with playing Huntress 😉

Poorly made hatchet hitboxes and dedicated servers make this killer no fun to play against. Otherwise she'd be fine.

I find that most Huntresses struggle against me at pallets because the always assume I'm going to throw it and give them the easy hatchet. You have to either throw the pallets early against Huntress, or keep running, because they assume you're going to throw them. Most are better at long range than when I'm literally just running in a circle around a pallet and a rock.

Now that I have crossplay enabled, almost every PC Huntress slugs, which of course is really boring for me as a survivor. Luckily I don't come across them too often. I do kinda think Iri head is BS, but it's not going anywhere. And exhaustion hatchets (along with Clown's exhaustion bottles) shouldn't be a thing any more, but the devs won't ever remove those either.

I don't like Huntress as a character personally, so I tend to be like "oh her" lmao. That's got nothing to do with her gameplay though.

I'm typically not a fan of ranged killers because of how often I encounter them and how difficult it is to get any better at loops against them.

However as far as ranged killers go, she does have certain tells that allow you to avoid her much easier than others. Once you hear her grunt during a chase, you have to zig zag, run in front of an obstacle, or mind game her. Certainly feels much more fair than getting hit through obstacles by PH or having chases end completely with Deathslinger. Or being poked to death by a [gay term for young slender man] with rapid fire daggers. Hit boxes are a problem of course, but they're a problem with everyone so I can't really hold it against her specifically.

I just hate going against a PC Huntress because if they’re any good, you’re screwed.

They seriously need to add an aiming reticle for console players already.

The only issue I have with her is the physics defying nature of the truck-sized hatchet hitboxes.

    Cover should be cover.

Hatchet hitboxes are kind of doodoo, but other than the occasional “hits you when you’re already past a wall”, she’s a fun killer to play and face.

In general, I think the huntress is one of the best characters in the game: I really like her looks and she is very balanced. Her hitboxes are sometimes a bit frustrating, which the devs should maybe try to optimize. Against the huntress, similar to pyramidhead, you should not pull the palette, unless you are guaranteed to get the stun or to bring something between you while looping. The most annoying thing about the huntress is when she proxy camps, go up a hill near the hook and use her hatchets to prevent the survivors from saving.
