Why isn't there a practice mode?
Seriously, why? The mobile version has it, games twenty years ago have it by default. What the excuse here beyond catastrophic levels of monopoly-induced indolence?
Before anyone brings up the tutorial, yeah no that doesn't teach ######### beyond the very basics that most people were able to learn in normal baby games. I mean actually being able to practice a killer vs bots, even if they're stupid, rather than rely on bringing people you know and use up their time so you can improve as killer/survivor.
I'm starting to really hate learning older killers that people know how to fully counter. It's agonizingly discouraging and honestly? You don't learn much when faced with such skill disparity. I'm very good with some killers but the moment I step out of the comfort zone, it's a just downright unfun. I don't want to WIN, but somehow when survivors see a struggling killer they have to make the experience even worse most of the time.

I'd LOVE a custom game mode where you can go against any killer that's a bot and learn how to counter them yourself, with any perks you like.

They did say they added the kill the bots mode so you can practise without fear of being judged. But the thing is that is extremely basic and limited. I feel like they've intentionally done this out of fear out people playing with bots instead of playing online. Survivor queue times are a lot longer than killer most of the time which implies the game has way fewer killers than wanted for an optimal matchmaking experience. So if you give killers the option to play, well, a much less stressful version of the game there are gonna be a considerable decrease in killers in the matchmaking pool.
I personally would really want it, because i rarely enjoy playing with the players in this game. But maybe that's why it wont happen.

Good question. Something the devs can only answer and hopefully have plans to actually implement one.

The developer update said that we were supposed to get an offline bot mode with the mid-chapter, but it never happened. BHVR hasn't said why and it's really disappointing.

Gods I'd love a bot mode (while still getting Bloodpoints, while Ranked can get real Ranked rewards) sometimes I just want to play a bunch of DBD but not go thru the potential rigamarole of dealing with other players.

Because the actual game is barely playable as it is on console, you think they could handle a practice mode?
There are TONS of new players to this game. I promise you, most players have no ######### clue how to counter any killers. I am genuinely shocked every time I play by how bad my red and purple rank teammates are.
Honestly, almost every time I play against a Legion, for example, I have teammates who go down because they don't know that they have to mend (and apparently reading one word on the screen is too much). I am not even joking.
They step on traps at shack. WOW who would have thought to check the ######### shack for traps???

I shiver. It was so bad once that everyone gave me a free hit at the exit gates because they knew I was going for the daily and didn't land a single blink. Rofl. I just skip that one now to save myself the embarrassment.
My Huntress is lit though. I destroy even with whatever her default perk is. The one that gives extra blood points for chase.

I had the same thing with my huntress they stayed at the gate and was like no hit us its ok we feel bad

OMG the pity free hits. I had so many of those. On the one hand its like "I don't your pity!!!" But on the other its like *sob* thank you for your charity.
