the legacy can back yes, more BHVR has lazy
I know the legacy, it was at the time that the blood web was harder than the maximum bp was 500k bla bla bla.
plus what it costs to do one event a year to pick 1 killer and 1 original surv to create a legacy. "plus the legacy won't come back" - BHVR.
so because the skin mods that do this so easily, look they do it in their homes, with no big company behind them.
The question is, BHVR urgently needs to open job openings, because there are a lot of creative people out here, what is lacking there at the moment.
Sorry for my outburst of dissatisfaction with this company, I started to take the only thing that was exclusive, which was the skins of the pass, and I started to put it in the store, put the legacy in the store then $%#@.....

They're not returning the Legacy, get over it. They were created to show who stuck with the game when it was released, back when it was woefully unbalanced and a pain to level up. If you want Legacy so bad, then find a way to mod your game again to give it to you.

I'm okay without it, even if they reduce the grind (which they should). I'd be happy that any future characters I want to level up will be maxed out easier.

Ok first of all I had a stroke reading this
Second of all, the whole reason why people want Legacy is because of its exclusivity, people want to show their dedication to the game.
Thing is if you introduce Legacy now, it won't be nearly as special as they think. The amount of grind people had to go through was insane and giving them back out would be a HUGE slap in the face to those people who earned them. I know this since I was a proud owner of the Howling Grounds and Scorching Summer BBQ exclusives, and having those just given to every one was well, a slap to the face.

As for the topic, if they added Legacy-esque textures to post-Legacy characters, it defeats the entire point of Legacy items.

Honestly I wouldn't mind if they brought something similar to legacy out but I think it should stay the way it is, it's a trademark to players like myself who were here from the very beginning and stuck through the rough times as the game was growing

It's less about that and more about the fact that they had a bug that caused people to lose their legacy and never returned it because they didn't have data to show people earned it. There are people who legitimately never got their legacy back who earned it. It's messed up.

They... could just take the time to look at their achievements? If they really cared, they could've had people who had Legacy fill out an application, then the mods go through and check their Prestige Achievements. If they had the Achievements, they could've picked which character they wanted Prestige (it wouldn't be ALL of their Legacy, but at least they'd get one back).

For one of the 3 Prestige achievements? Because if BHVR saw that they got all 3 Prestige Achievements at the same time, they would just ban them.

So basically the same can be said about the Huntress hound mask, and the Pro-Pain hammer for Billy. OH WAIT!! BHVR gave those out to everyone because, just like some legacy owners, peoples data bugged out causing them to lose these exclusive items. HMMMMMMMM.
If they can give out exclusive event cosmetics that people EARNED, then why haven't they done it for Legacy. People have lost their legacy cosmetics in the past and haven't gotten then back, so why not give it to everyone since it's the same reason they gave out the hound mask and Pro-Pain hammer.
Did people not show their dedication to the game earning those cosmetics?

I literally talked about that, and Id rather not have people feel the same way I did when they were given out to everyone.
Besides, Legacy was much harder to obtain than those Event exclusives

Probably the latter. If they would give Legacy to the players who have Characters on P3-50 right now (which is not hard to get, really), many players would have it. And I guess only a few would actually use it, Legacy does not look that good in my opinion.
And it would be nothing special if many players have it.

As the developers put it. Until BHVR is able to identify every player who lost their Legacy, it won't come back. Right now, they're still not able to identify the players who lost their Legacy, so they're not going to refund it or unlock it or put it in the store.
Also: BHVR has promised that it will not return, and they intend to keep that promise. Selling Legacy for money would not only break that promise, but would be a very greedy way to do it.

it's ok... I don't dislike it, but I doubt I would use them over something else I might have... except for jake, I don't like any of the cosmetics I have for him, but I also don't play him 🤷♀️
also, yes. of course someone out there thinks legacy looks really cool and wants it purely for that. and I do think there should be a way for that person to get it.

my idea would be a 1 week in-game event to pick up the skin's legacy and whoever already has the p3 character would have to zero to be the same for everyone. And it would remain rare because it would be exclusive for a specific year like 2016.

Puppers (an OG Streamer) lost his because of the bug. He talked to the devs about it (he's a Fog Whisperer) and was basically told, "Sorry. It is what it is. 🤷♀️"

With the hallowed blight cosmetics effectively being a heavily more detailed oozing varient of legacy.
The developers have no real reason to bring back legacy over just giving everyone a blight skin.

in my opinion devs could give them as a reward for second prestige and they could also change bloodweb a bit (make it harder like in the old days) so everyone could get something shiny, also this legasy would be able for new original characters after the og 5

this case is simple noone force you to do the grind again if you dont want to, and people who already have legace on og character wouldnt be cheated by devs at any rate, they would't step byack of thier own promise and it would cut dissusion about wanting lagacy

Yes, If I wanted to play every character with every perk I do indeed have to grind, so increasing something 99.99% of the player base wants decreased for some cosmetic is absolutely ridiculous to me.

the only thing i will never get over with this topic is the Legacy skin that i lost thanks to their loss of progress bug.
they should 100% return that - i know they said they wouldnt, but i firmly stand by that belief.
You cant walk around talking about "honoring the people who stuck around and earned it" and then deny my me righteously earned Legacy skin that i lost to YOUR bug, BHVR!

personally i dont know any person who is willing to play all survivor roster , most player base i know just stick too 2-4 survivors max

Right well I play all survivors and all killers so I don't think I should have to chose 2 - 4 survivors to play because there simply isn't enough time in the day to max all survivors and killers constantly.
