It is as legitimate a tactic as bodyblocking as far as the current DS system goes.
In fact survivors can often get in on the act because you can tell when a killer is dribbling due to the highlighted survivor when they are dropped and rush in to stop them getting there!

I'm more inclined to sandbag a troll who abused the killer all game and thinks they will get an EZ escape with their crutch perk. Thank you very much.0

The killer can only do this within about 10ft of a hook, so if you get dribbled and it worked it's completely your fault.

If they take away dribbling to counteract DS then they should take away gen tapping to counteract ruin.0

Nope, this is within the last few days and it doesn't matter the killer they all seem to use this.

At least, dribbling is highly situational and isn't guaranteed to work every single time while the same doesn't apply for gen tapping.0 -

Dribbling is a good mechanic, the Killer needs to judge whether or not a they can make it to a hook. This allows room for Survivor teammates to attempt to save you, and other scoring opportunities.
DS shouldn't be a 100% free getaway.

Dribbling is 100% fine and just as much as it's fine it's also your fault if it happens. Instead of complaining about it, how about you make the most of it and trick people by running sole survivor and don't wiggle until the last dribble. Worth a shot on some killers anyways.
Also, the idea that players like yourself want to bully the killer is sad and does not promote better gameplay on either end and infact only promotes more toxic players in the end. But gee, let's just bully the killer for one of the only ways to counter DS that maybe only sometimes work.
